These organic alfalfa pellets look and smell so fresh. There is no dirt or foreign matter which can be found in some other brands I’ve tried. I fed a small quantity to my horses just by itself because I wanted to be sure they’d eat it before I mixed it in with their mash that has a lot of expensive supplements and meds in it. Well, they absolutely scarfed it up, both by itself and mixed into their mash. That says a lot because my one boy often leaves some of his mash, which is incredibly frustrating because he’s the one that has his meds mixed in. I feed my two senior boys primarily grass type hay, and it’s nice to add a little alfalfa when I feel they need a little something extra.

Didn't care for having to cut it open (had to hunt down scissors) but for the quality, it's worth having to mess with the bag. These are going to my goats instead of my horses and it's nice that my goats didn't waste a single pellet vs all their hay waste.

My favorite part is the pellets are small so they don’t need to be soaked, or soften quickly if soaked. They are clean and not dusty. As an equine scientist and nutritionist, I definitely recommend!

I was excited to try these pellets, especially since they are organic. They are very aromatic and green, which to me signals high quality. I do wish the size was a bit larger, but since I soak my mares grain, it’s not an issue for me. Overall I’m pleased and love that there is another option for pure alfalfa pellets.
