I originally got this to try and see if my Sulcuta Tortoises would eat it then after getting it in and seeing how green it was I decided to see how well my donkey would eat it since I needed something to feed him separately from the cows since he tends to be kind of a bully. At first I worried that I would need to soak this feed for him but then ultimately decided not to simply because I felt like he would be fine no more than I would be feeding him at a time. I must say this is some very nice and fresh pellets. They are still green even having been open for quite a while now as we only feed once a day and my donkey only gets a 1/4 of a feed scope at a time. I have found in the past that feeds like this tend to turn brown as they oxidize and so far this is still bright green and smells fresh.

The bag survived shipping like a champ—no tears, no spillage, just intact and ready to feed. The pellets are clean and smell fresh. I’m currently using these as a supplement now that my pasture grass is fading. So far, they’ve worked well for my horses and make a dependable addition to their feed. My horses eat them readily—including my PPID mare, who is suspicious of anything new in her feeder. The bag has stayed fresh, and I haven’t found any clumps or debris. I also appreciate the low dust content, as I’ve previously owned a horse with respiratory issues. I’m very happy with these pellets and would recommend them for horses needing a clean, reliable supplement.
ABSOLUTELY GREAT
My horses love this product.I first fed it just as a treat just to see if they liked it.And they were absolutely nuts for it. I have been adding it to their feed
My horses love this product.I first fed it just as a treat just to see if they liked it.And they were absolutely nuts for it. I have been adding it to their feed to sort of supplement my hay since hey , this year is really not very good and it's great. I would especially recommend it for anyone who has an older horse. You might want to soak it just a little bit for them. The pellets are a little hard, but not bad. But I think it would be a great thing to add to maybe help, put weight on a thin horse or just to supplement your hay.. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to give their animals. In my case it's horses a good source of protein and fiber. I live in illinois and the hay this year has not been very good at all , so I will definitely add this to my feed over the winter. I have 4 horses who will definitely be getting this.Added to their feed over the winter. I feel the timothy is especially healthy if you might have a horse who has a metabolic problem or anything the timothy's a little better than possibly an alfalfa pellet. The Blue Mountain brand seems to be very good.I was very impressed with the quality of the pellets and I believe you would be as well.Chewy is very good about getting their products delivered in a very timely manner.I've had nothing but good relations with chewy and they're excellent service at all time
Yum Yum Yum!

Well today we opened the bag of Timothy pellets to give the horses their evening treat. Holy Cow! They absolutely loved it. It sounded like we were at a laundry mat with the machines all agitating at the same time. Not one horse slipped up until their ball was finished. And as the first Horse raised their head, everyone who wasn’t done their ears flew back as if to say you’re not taking mine. They enjoyed every bit of it. Definitely give this a try.
New pellets for my picky punks
These are just as good as the big name brand. They were low dust and smelled pleasant. I did measure them out and needed a little more volume to equal the same amount

Healthy tasty pellets

My biggest surprise was not that Canyon loved the Timothy pellets but that Chewy sells them. How convenient! Even though pellets are not part of his regular feed, I add pellets to spruce up Canyon’s monthly psyllium treatment and also as a treat for keeping the horse occupied while I work in the turnout. I am happy to report that the Timothy pellets were a big hit!
These are new go to pellets
I really like the size and length of these Timothy pellets. These are similar size to Purina Outlast but longer. So easier to tell the difference between the two
I really like the size and length of these Timothy pellets. These are similar size to Purina Outlast but longer. So easier to tell the difference between the two. I wasn’t sure what size they would be, thought they may be the much bigger pellets which I don’t like. Glad I tried these! Also made in Oregon.

Nice additional forage
Great option for picky eaters that need to have additional forage options. It’s a small pellet that can be a stand alone or added to a grain mix. Horses see to really

Blue Mountain Hay High Altitude Timothy Hay Pellet
The High Altitude was a big hit to our 20 year old Andalusia horse. Will be honest, not too picky and went for this more aggressively than other products like this
