I wanted to find grain for my "new" 8-yr-old llama so we could supplement in our cold MN weather. I bought the small pellets because my llama chokes easily. He immediately choked. The pellets are narrow, but super long. I feel like long pellets can easily get stuck n his throat, Unfortunately, Bluebonnet feed isn't going to work for us. And now I have a bag of wasted feed.

I switched to this fees after the one I was using became unavailable. This is the third different feed for my older (14yrs) llama. He loves it, which is saying a lot because he's quite picky with his likes and dislikes. Although this fees is more expensive than others, it also functions as a supplement for him because he refuses to eat llama supplements. I've noticed that he generally seems to feel better and the new growth of his coat has its color back and looks much healthier. I'm happy to pay a little more for that.

Good feed

I chose this feed for my alpacas after the local feed store stoped carrying the brand I used , and Ive stuck withit because its better than any of the others available

I chose this feed for my alpacas after the local feed store stoped carrying the brand I used , and Ive stuck withit because its better than any of the others available from Chewy . IIt has a goid srlenium level which is vital for alpacas. And its not full of soy and corn and other low quality fillers. My pacas all eat it readily and have done well on it. Of course most of their diet is good wuality grass hay as it shoukd be for all alpacas but the Bluebonnet pellets supply crucial minerals and other micronutrients that are lacking in hay. Thanks Chewy!
