I gave this food 1 star because I couldn't get any cats to eat it. If I was going on nutrition alone I would give it 5 starts. But, no food is quality food if you can't get your cats to eat it. This is a great quality food. The tins it comes in are easy to open, but a pain to scoop the food out of. The ends are rippled and you can't get all the food out. The consistency of the food is like rubber, with absolutely no juice at all. By adding a little warm water you can smash it and make it softer, but even that doesn't help. My cats were enticed by the salmon odor, and started to eat with enthusiasm. That lasted until they got the food in their mouths, and then they started spitting it out. They circled the dish, one tried with her paw, scooped it up and shook it off. Then I took some to our shelter and tried with all 40 cats. No one could get past the first bite. No one.

I was intrigued by the sardine-style can of this wet food! Very aesthetic. All three of my cats loved the pate! It would be nice if this could have a little more moisture as some of the pate tends to stick to the sides and ridges of the can and is difficult to scrape out with a spoon.

A can of this is the perfect amount for two meals for one cat, around a day’s feeding for one cat. The shape of the can makes it slightly difficult to scrape the food out from the corners, but easier for storage. I recommend using a smaller spoon or fork to get into the corners. I care for a large feral colony so I value every little bite of food. The food itself is compact without gravy. The consistency is like dense pate. My inside cats didn't flock over and devour it. They ate it, but not completely thrilled. My ferals were joyous to eat it though. I’m happy to know the first ingredient is actual fish and not meal. My ferals deserve healthy food just like other cats and it makes me feel good to give them this. They would agree.

I had high hopes for this canned food for my cat. When I opened the can, he came running and was eating it fine. The next day I gave him more and he just took a few bites and walked away. I tried to feed him a couple more times and he wouldn’t eat any of it. I gave the rest of the cans to a friend at work and she said her cat loved it. It was a win win situation for my friends cat. My cat just didn’t care for it.

I really wanted to like this, but unfortunately, my cat won’t touch it. The packaging is sooo cute and the ingredients look great, but he just isn’t interested. I’m wondering if the pate texture is just too dense, perhaps? It also has a VERY strong fishy smell, but that hasn’t deterred him in the past, so I don’t know. Oh well, this might not be the best option for picky eaters.

I’m not sure why they didn’t like it. It looked like regular wet cat food to me but the Queens of the house have spoken and it’s four paws down.

We have a few younger cat that will eat just about any cat food and I couldn’t get them interested in this one. All the cats have eaten many different brands and flavors. Most have more moisture than this brand, tried adding water and other gravy to enhance it but still no takers.
