I first bought this food in store then found that my cats love it! I tried recently switching to a different brand but my cat was allergic to it. Mild symptoms like itchy ears, dried skin, constantly scratching his forehead causing his whiskers to break, and more. Once I switched back, he was very happy! I feel like my cat is actually (healthily) losing weight!! He's 19lbs and I'd prefer if he was thinner. I've noticed this food keeps him fuller longer and helps him digest fur better (his stomach isn't as hard as it was prior). He never has furballs. My cat is hooked on this high quality food!!
Cat Approved ~ excellent quality

My cats are no exception to being finicky when it comes to their food, especially kibble. They devoured this kibble without qualms. In fact, they loved it so much I can feed them bits as treats. I just mixed it with their regular kibble gradually so as not to upset their tummies. My cats are seniors so this great quality food (yes, I checked the ingredients which are excellent) was mixed with their more senior kibble to balance their diet. Now when one of my cats finishes their meal they rush over to one another’s bowls to eat each other’s. Not a bad problem to have. I must check out their other varieties as well. If my cats like this yours surely will.

My cat, Emmara, can be pretty picky about her food, but Boat to Bowl was an instant hit! She loved it from the very first bowl. Three features that really stood out to me: - Real Fish First: I love that fish is the first ingredient, it makes a difference for seafood-loving cats. - All Life Stages Formula: It’s great knowing this food supports her health now and as she gets older. - Sustainably Sourced and Lean Protein: I feel good feeding her a product that’s responsibly made and packed with healthy protein. We use this food for both breakfast and dinner. The kibble size is just right for her, and she finishes her meals with excitement now, which wasn’t always the case before. The resealable bag also keeps everything fresh, which is super convenient. The only small downside is the smell, it's a little stronger than other dry foods, but that’s to be expected with a seafood recipe. Emmara doesn’t mind it at all! If you have an adult cat who loves fish flavors, this is definitely worth trying!
Double ordered in error-NOT HAPPY!

When you sent the reminder that my AutoShip was coming up, you asked me if I wanted to add anything to the order. I did When I did that, it doubled my first order and then added my extra item. So now I have four bags of cat litter and onebag of food instead of two bags of cat litter, and one bag of food I will be canceling my auto ship because of this. You need to work on the system and make it better.

This food looks and smells like good quality cat food. It’s all seafood hence the name Boat to Bowl. Unfortunately my kitty was not fond of it. I believe it’s because it’s all seafood. The pieces of food are very small which makes it easier for them to chew. The food seemed fresh and not dried out. The smell is rich and bold. If your kitty likes seafood he will love this food
Lots of fish and protein

Redfish, salmon meal, whitefish meal, cod and haddock are the first 5 ingredients, so they are serious about naming this Wild Seafood Recipe. All kibble foods must have some kind of starch to bind the kibble (grain-free ones typically have potatoes), and this food has brown rice, whole grain sorghum and whole oats. Even so, the crude protein minimum is 40%, which exceeds AAFO guidelines for adult maintenance and growth and reproduction. This is good thing! The more protein the better for cats! It has a slightly higher calories profile than a premium store-bought brand, but the great ingredients mean fewer empty carb calories. I have one cat who is not a fan of fish at all and would not eat even a single bite. My other cat is a fish-lover, and was grabbing for this right out of the bag because of the scent of fish. The pieces of kibble are very small, so I have been using them as training treats for her. I can give her many individual pieces as treats without feeding too many calories. The very small pieces and high protein mean this is also going to be a great kitten food. I foster kittens and definitely plan to feed it to them.

This review is for Boat to Bowl Pet Food Wild Seafood Recipe Dry Cat Food. Our taste tester is Spare, a 3 year old DSH tabico. She’s a former stray, and generally not fussy about food. She is currently recovering from some owies (mean neighbor cat), hence the pink surgery suit. So right now she’s not at her best, but otherwise has no health issues. (Hi, I’m Spare. That’s me, with my head shoved in the Boat to Bowl cat food bag. I’m pretty sure I like this stuff.) This food comes in a resealable bag, which I appreciate. It keeps the food fresh, with no clips or putting the food into a different sealed container. It smells very fishy, but not in a bad way. The strong smell should be attractive to cats, and would probably encourage senior or sick kitties to eat. And the kibble size is on the small side, so would work for kittens (it is supposed to be all life stages). The first 5 ingredients are fish or fish meal, which is GREAT. And no soy or pea products, which are often used in pet foods to boost the protein content. According to the manufacturer website, they basically use the trimmings from human-grade fish destined for restaurants etc. And all their fish are wild-caught from sustainable fisheries. Yay! The next 6 ingredients include 4 grains, plus sweet potatoes. These are not things that cats typically eat. BUT… dry cat food needs a binder (basically a carb), and at least these ingredients (Brown Rice, Whole Grain Sorghum, Sweet Potatoes, Whole Oats, Flaxseed) are better choices for cats than corn or wheat. The crude protein is 40.0% minimum, which is GREAT. Feline nutrition guidelines now recommend adult cats (including seniors) consume a diet with at least 40% protein, to prevent loss of lean body mass. At 495 kcal per cup, this is NOT a diet food. But again, the food would be great for skinny senior or sick kitties to eat. I wish this food had been around a few years ago, when I was trying to get my own skinny senior kitty to eat more. Overall, I think this is a high quality food (and Spare thinks it’s yummy).

All three of my cats are now addicted to this food. They attacked it the moment I put it in their bowls and ate every morsel. They usually don’t do this with dry food, and I was quite pleasantly surprised by their reaction. I will be purchasing this in the future, as it appears to be their new favorite. I am very pleased with the quality of the ingredients, the appearance of the food and the smell of the product. Many of the dry foods on the market state they are seafood based but do not smell like it. This has a pleasant smell, and apparently a cat approved taste.
