Been buying these for my dogs for probably 6 years or so. They used to be quite large and thick and could entertain my dogs for 15-20 minutes at least. They have been shrinking considerably as of the last couple of years. Occasionally we’ll get good sized ones but more and more they are the right side of the photo. Personally, I don’t mind the new braided ones (left side of the photo) but the little skinny and/or short ones are gone in under 30 seconds. I see other reviewers who want the smaller ones for their small dogs. (I’ve got 2 bags you can have). I wish we could request the proper size for our dogs. My dogs are big so these are no bueno. Gotta end my autoship, sadly, due to lack of consistency.
Use to buy these often because they always came with an assortment of sizes. Like 2-4in pieces sometimes find braided chunks it was just worth it. Like everything else the quality is down while the price goes up or stays the same. I bought 3 bags, I was so surprised seeing them, they're all such tiny pieces now! Every single one of them are no bigger than an inch if that. I know they say pieces, but from what they use to be its not worth buying now.
Small/short bully sticks are pictured. What was received were braids-- they're short but 3x as thick. I wanted small bully sticks for my toy breed dog. I have tried cutting down larger ones for her but its really difficult and they smell awful. A 2" stick would take her about the same amount of time as a 6" takes the larger dog to chew. But the braided one is as much pizzle material as a single 6" so that defeats the purpose.
I bought these thinking they were as pictured, sadly not. They are thin and the dogs eat them in less than a minute as they just snap into pieces. hardly satisfying the chew and dental needs I was looking for
We've tried several brands that make smaller pieces of bully sticks (4-5") and the only brand that delivers consistent quality and size is Bones and Chews. We've stopped ordering any of the others. The rest all ended up stuffing full bags with really garbage 1/2-1" scrap pieces rather than actual stick portions. Every bag of this brand has been consistently sized and of good quality.
My bigger dog enjoyed these even though they were small. My smaller dog didn't care for them and even the smallest bone splintered on her and she started having a hard time. I will not buy them again.
Where have you been hiding these bully treats. My Aussies love bully sticks, but can chew through them in nothing flat. Which means I am constantly buying more. These 2”-4” bully stick pieces in a 2lb bag, are wonderful. They can be a treat, or a reward. And the bag lasts longer than a week. The 8 months old mini aussie aggressive chewer says thanks!
These are the best bully bites we've gotten. A great selection of sizes that we feel safe feeding our dogs that range in size from 15-70lbs.
These are great little chews that settle our pups and give a little downtime to 3 playful dog siblings. My dogs will instantly sit and wait for theirs and then love to go find their little corner to enjoy their treat. Love these!
I read all the reviews and I was a little bit hesitant because some people got bags of tiny product. I took a chance and I bought three bags and they are all the same and each piece is between three to four inches. They are fairly thick and look like a good quality treats. They are perfect for my cocker spaniels. I’m so glad I bought them and will definitely order them again.
