I have to pit bulls and they usually destroy all toys & bones. One is 11yrs old the other is 7.5 months old these Buffalo Horns have keep them busy woohooo little boy is still a pup but he has left his sister alone for the most part lol. Some how he takes both of them like there only his haha.
This chew is our Corgi's favorite by far and its a good thing too because unlike a bone, it won't cause teeth damage but will help keep them clean and unlike rawhide, it is less likely to encourage "Resource Guarding". He can spend hours with it and it lasts a good long time. I highly recommend it.
I wondered why this was so cheap. Do not buy if you want one that will last. This is hollow and a waste of money for a large dog.
i work at a place that sells these and everyone complains that’s they splinter. while that is a pain there is a solution. i usually saw it off when it gets like that. but it is supposed to splinter
I bought 2 of the large ones and 2 medium one. The large seem ok but the medium a breaking off pieces as soon as my pugs chewed on them and I'm scared they are going to get chocked on them so I had to throw those away. So not happy with those but the larger one was for a golden retreiver and it seems ok.
Do not buy this item for your dog. After one day my dog shredded it and apparently swallowed the razor like splinters. He was on two medications for 10 days and is still not feeling well. My cousin also purchased one and his dog wound up with a bloody mouth and gums.
We have a wide size range of dogs so it is always a challenge to find products that are safe for all of them. These horns have been great! I did get the large size and everyone from our Dane, Corgi, Pug, and Boston to love them. Of course with any chew, you do need to check them frequently but none of ours have splintered or broke off. I prefer these over rawhides or Nylabones by far. Our Dane and corgi CAN CHEW and go through everything else in minutes. These are going on weeks but we also limit chew time yo a couple hours a day.
this piece was just ok. My pup is a tough chewer and although it didn't splinter or anything, it just didn't hold her attention very long.
Good size Bigger than I expected and came in a reclosable bag which is handy as I am only giving this for crate time Scar is 80 pounds And loves to carry things in his mouth and chew He races his crate Wiggling all over happy happy happy
Maybe I didn’t read the reviews before I ordered it, or maybe I only read the good ones and hoped for the best. Although it didn’t smell as much as some other chews/treats, it splintered within the first 15 minutes of chewing. Maybe the medium would be thicker as another review suggested? Maybe it’s a different manufacturer and poorer quality than in the past as another reviewer stated? For the price, this was a bust.
