This tie-out has been designed and tested with durability for outdoor use in rain, sun, snow and wind.

What weight is this stress tested to?

Answer by ChewyOct 17, 2018
According to the product description, it is weight rated to hold dogs that weigh up to a whopping 250 pounds, with a patented twin swivel snap for secure attachment.

Does this have a spring at the end?

This tie-out contains a spring. The spring is like a buffer to bounce back so your dog does not hurt itself.

Is any of the metal on this item galvanized? I am worried about it getting heated up and releasing (toxic) fumes.

The clip on it is a little hard to use cause I have acrylic nails, but it is extremely strong perfect for excited pets. I doubt it. It’s gonna break on anyone. My dog jumps full Force at it and there’s no sign of weathering.

The clip is very difficult to open.

The clip was too difficult to open. I was expecting a reasonable clip on each end. I needed 2 hands to open the clip, which leaves me NO hands to hold my dog!

Tough means tough

It is exactly as described. I have a little trouble with the clip since it takes both hands to open. That's kinda hard when you're holding on to your energetic dog

It is exactly as described. I have a little trouble with the clip since it takes both hands to open. That's kinda hard when you're holding on to your energetic dog at the same time. I wish they were push in clips. You have to pull the clip out instead. Other than that it's great!

Works awesome!

Due to a few health concerns, we can’t give King the exercise he needs at the moment, so this works good to get him a little exercise!

Very sturdy and well built.

Dogs don't want to chew on it and the hook is great, doesn't come open by itself

Used it for the first time this weekend when I went to my dad’s, so nice to have my husky hangout outside with us since she has very bad separation anxiety from me. When I’ve done yard work at my house I would tie her up which two long leashes because I was scared of her getting lost like in the past. I can’t wait to use this more and have my girl outside with me!

Put this out for my dog early last week and the clip broke yesterday! Supposed to be strong and my dog is about 60 pounds!!!! Quality is not what it is rated. Very disappointed. Usually these type cables will last about a year and not less than a week.
