FAIL

It Wouldn’t tighten down enough to hold even a large bully. 10 minutes latter Riley had already scared it up too bad to return.

Our rescue labradoodle loves bully sticks but holding them between his legs to get a good angle for chewing always left his fur a mess. He also likes to hide left overs in the yard. Both problems are fixed as it’s much easier for us to find the stick now and his fur stays clean. We fixed the problem that our bully sticks are too skinny by simply adding a small piece of wood in the opening before inserting the bully sticks and tightening the screw.

Difficult for me to handle

I got the X-small for my 10 lb dog. I’m not able to grasp the tightener well enough to get it tight enough on the bully stick. I’m old and my fingers are slip

This is now in the garbage because it doesn't work. Our puppy managed to unscrew it and it was tightly screwed down. Another time, he was able to pull the chew out even with it screwed down. Thankfully, Chewy refunded the cost. If you're looking for one that worked for us, try the Woof BullySafe Dog Chew Treat Holder, Green. So far, Casey hasn't been able to pull any chew out of this!

doesn't hold a bully stick

It won't tighten enough to hold a bully stick. I'd like to return it but there is no option for returning. It was an expensive mistake. Disappointed with Chewy

My 70lb lab mix is an enthusiastic chewer and loves a good bully stick. It’s important to me that he chew safely and this is the only product I trust. Pro tip for super strong chewers: get a drill bit the same size as the screw in the bow wow buddy. Drill a hold through the bully stick first, then screw in - this holds it in place even more securely so the dog can’t slide it out, even when slobbery. I will say my dog has put some teeth marks in the outer plastic after a few chews. There is unfortunately a few inches of waste with the remaining bit of bully stick but better safe than sorry in my opinion.
