How many cups in a 6 pound bag ie 30 pound dog would be two cups a day....so how long does a 6 pound bag last.
Answer by ChewyOct 27, 2020
The 3-ounce bag contains approximately 1.75 cups of Homestyle Complete and makes up to 1 pound of ready-to-eat food. The 2-pound bag contains approximately 17.5 cups of Homestyle Complete and makes up to 10 pounds of ready-to-eat food. The 6-pound bag contains approximately 52.5 cups of Homestyle Complete and makes up to 30 pounds of ready-to-eat food. Some settling may occur during shipment and cups per bag may vary slightly from bag to bag.

Can you tell me what percent of this food is meat? Is it easy to crumble into dust to use on kibble, or are the pieces really hard?
Answer by ChewyJan 02, 2020
This food is 80% protein (meat, organs and eggs). Eggs are only 1% of the formula. The remaining 20% is from the fruits and vegetables. The proteins may be easier to breakdown than the vegetables and cranberries if being used as a topper. There is also some natural breakdown as the product ships, so that would make a great topper as well.

What would be the daily feeding amount for a 80lbs lab
Answer by ChewyDec 16, 2019
The recommended feeding amount for a 80 pound dog is 3.5 cups per day. For every cup of food add 1 cup of warm water and let soak 15 - 20 minutes and serve. If you would like a dinner with a light broth, just add 1 1/2 of warm water. For the complete feeding instructions, click the “Feeding Instructions” tab, next to the “Nutritional Info” tab, just under the product photos.

Pickiest Eater LOVES this!

After my collie's 6 year lifetime we finally found food he actually gets excited about. When he smells this rehydrating on the counter (and it does smell good) he waits for it and then eats it right away. This is remarkable, since it used to take him awhile to start eating, often enough it would take all day for him to finish breakfast, no matter what kibble or topper I would use. Also, my dog has a sensitive stomach and a lot of food he kind of would have liked gave him diarrhea, not with this. This stuff is an absolute winner. Healthy and picky Eater approved. Oh, he even eats the green beans, haha, who would have thought?!

It's working

With all the bad press these days on the processing of kibble, Inhave just switched to this freeze dried food. My dog was constantly biting and scratching herself and had hot spots on occasion. Since I started Bravo 1.5 weeks ago, the scratching and biting is less then half of what it was and I believe it will continue to dissipate. The cost of Bravo is high, but, I was also supplementing traditional kibble with real meat at each feeding. Now I don't need to spend money on the extra meat since Bravo has chunks of real freeze dried meat. So far so good and I am happy for my pet

Picky eater approved

My shih tzu mix is incredibly picky and I have been struggling to find something he will eat. I feed the Bravo line in rotation with another food and he loves this stuff!

Terrific Food - solved our pup's tummy troubles!

We'd been feeding our Border Collie a premium store brand dog food for years without issue, but recently she developed a problem with runny poops. On our vet's advice we started her on a diet of cooked long grain white rice and boiled white meat chicken, which definitely helped, but didn't completely resolve the issue. We then tried gradually adding in some very expensive deluxe freeze-dried dog food, which helped some more, but it cost way more than we could sustainably afford. Casting around for an alternative, I read about Bravo! and ordered two bags. After transitioning her over to it, I have observed no more runny poops. Her digestion is back to normal! Best of all, she absolutely LOVES the food and digs into it with an enthusiasm I've never seen her show for any other commercial dog food. (We give her two meals daily, each consisting of 2/3 cup of Bravo! mixed with 2/3 cup of hot water.) I've seen other pet owners post that their dogs don't like the green beans included in Bravo!, but our girl eagerly devours every morsel.

my dog isn’t interested in it

I bought the beef one first and my dog liked that one. So I decided to try the turkey one (my dog always loves turkey freeze dried food) but it turned out that my dog isn’t interested in this one at all. I have to pick certain type of bites from the large bag for him and he would rather have dry food from Nulo at the end. Again, the beef one is okay but don’t buy the turkey one if your dog is a picky eater as well.

Excellent food for my doggo

Half of my dog’s meals is Bravo turkey recipe. The other half is my preferred high quality kibble. My dog loves the combination as a one and a half year old male Japanese Spitz. He loves his meals.

Love bravo!

Love love love!! Add a little water or bone broth and you are good to go! Great raw alternative and i feel the price is pretty good. One of my dogs only likes the green beans dry.. but probably just a weird quirk.

Love this freeze dry foodies

Love that I can add this to my fur babies dry dog food. They love it. It adds nutritional value. I mix in a couple of bag of this freeze dry food with the regular dry dog food.
