Nice puzzle feeder

There are times when I would like my dog to be engaged with something that is good for his mind but he can do while I am busy with other tasks. This puzzle feeder consist of a square plastic tray with a removable thin rubber mat. The mat also has suction cups on the back so you could take it out and fasten it to something; for example if you bathe your dog you could have a peanut butter mixture spread on there and fasten the mat to the tub or shower wall to keep your dog occupied. I put kibble in the larger plastic tray and spread a mixture of plain Greek yogurt and pumpkin on the mat. I froze the mat overnight since it is rubber it was easy to sit in the freezer on top of other items and the mixture froze well. I have a large 80 pound Labrador and it took him close to 15 minutes to empty the puzzle feeder. Next time I am going to create other combinations other than just regular kibble to go in the larger compartment during the summer it would be nice to freeze some broth and vegetables or just broth and water. It was easy to clean although I recommend you clean the rubber mat section before anything dries on it it’s very shallow but lots of little nooks and crannies. Also because the mat is removable and made of a rubber I would not leave this with a dog alone because they might chew it up and ingest some of the mat. All in all this is a good item it’s not too large but holds a good amount of food or treats and with a little creativity you can really keep your dog busy.

We have a 13yr old Pit/Boxer mix with an underbite. First I tried some canned food on the purple treat mat, she left half the food in the small crevices. The cats got some more of the left food out, but I had to soak the rest out. The mat is held in with suction cups and was a little difficult pulling out with my arthritis. I'm not too impressed with the stars on bowl side, they make it a bit tougher to clean fully. She ate all her soft homemade food, but wouldn't eat the dry I'd first tried. I'm guessing it was too difficult for her to eat the chunks with the stars. I think I'll stick with her regular bowls. My other 2 dogs would eat it since it's plastic and rubber, I use only stainless steel with them. I'm giving to my daughter to try with her small dogs. Overall, it's a nice product, it's just not for my older dog.

What I loved about this product is that it did its job while adding something new and fun to mealtime! My French Bulldog is known for scarfing down his food, so I needed a bowl that would slow him down and help with digestion. This slow feeder did exactly that! The star-shaped obstacles are placed in just the right spots, causing the food to spread out across the bowl. This forces my dog to move his head around and take his time eating, which is exactly what I was hoping for. The lick mat was also a hit! I poured some coconut water onto it and popped it in the freezer. After Bandit finished his meal, he stuck around and happily enjoyed his frozen treat. It was a great way to keep him engaged and satisfied after eating.
LOVE this slow feeder lick mat bowl!

I feed my dogs all of their meals in puzzle bowls or slow feeders. I have several different ones that i fill and freeze for meals. This Brightkins Square 2-in-1 slow feeder is my new favorite because it's easy to fill and easy to clean (I put the mat in the dishwasher). I don't freeze this one because I don't feel like I need to because it takes the dogs a while to finish it even without freezing. I think I need to get another one as a back up!

My ten year old Golden Retriever has been having some digestion issues and this item definitely slowed his eating down and I think he enjoyed the challenge of getting the food out. He especially loved the lick mat smeared with peanut butter. I loved that the lick mat has suction cups on the bottom so I can even use it in other places such as stuck to the refrigerator door, and the entire bottom has a rubber edge preventing the unit from sliding across the floor as my dog eats or licks his treat off the mat. I'm also excited that the entire unit is top shelf dishwasher safe. All in all a great item for both my furbaby and me.
Awesome product
I havent tried the lick mat portion yet, but it sticks firmly via suction cups to the bowl. I think it will work great to smear some peanut butter, cheese, yogurt
I havent tried the lick mat portion yet, but it sticks firmly via suction cups to the bowl. I think it will work great to smear some peanut butter, cheese, yogurt or raw/canned food on for enrichment. The slow feeder portion works great! I got this particular one to try for my border collie mix and it's worked wonderfully to make him think about his food. The silicone grippies keep him from shoving it all over his crate too! Definitely recommend!
Love it

Easily holds what I feed him on the days I’m not splitting it between multiple feeders. It’s the perfect size for him and cute. My one realization is that the lick mat could be better. The design really lends itself to food getting stuck between the letters in a way that his tongue couldn’t retrieve. So while it looks nice, it really contributed to wasted dog food and mess that I have to scrub intensely with a bristly brush. I don’t mind it for things like yogurt, but with the price of dog food and the amount that gets wasted by the design , I’ll definitely find a different style mat.
Great for my yorkie!

Like lots of yorkies, my little guy has some serious digestive issues, but he loves to eat very quickly. This mat helped him slow it down. Also keeps him busy when we have guests - no more barking at them when he's occupied with the lick mat Wish I had bought this sooner!

we used this product for the broken up treats from the treats jar. we will pour meat juice in the removable part next time we cook. normally we throw the treats on the floor when we leave the house. we like that this is an organized way to give treats. lucy really got into all the grooves and got every crumb.
A great product with a useful twist!

I think this is overall a good product. It is great for slowing down fast eaters with the slow feeder side. My small dogs don’t have that problem, so they were more afraid and confused by that side, but they LOVED the lick mat side. I put some peanut butter on it and let them go to town! I also liked that I could take it out and place it on other spots. It made it easy to use for occupying them during baths, etc. I highly recommend this product!
