they went nuts

Attracted Woodpeckers & Nuthatches

I got this food because it's a good price and I hoped it would attract new birds to my yard. Previously I was using black oil sunflower seeds in my hanging feeder

I got this food because it's a good price and I hoped it would attract new birds to my yard. Previously I was using black oil sunflower seeds in my hanging feeder and the only birds that came around were house finches or the very rare goldfinch. After trying this out I saw some small white woodpeckers right away. I'm pretty sure I identified white-breasted nuthatches, hairy woodpeckers, and downy woodpeckers. I also noticed butterflies liked visiting the feeder, for the raisins I assume.
