Questions & Answers

8 Customer Questions

How long does this product stay good after opening?
Answer by ChewyDec 21, 2020
It is recommended to use the Brutus Broth within 21 days of opening. Although Brutus Broth will not spoil after 21 days, it will start to lose its flavor. Many customers like to freeze extra Brutus Broth into ice cubes to warm up later or to treat their dog to a tasty “pupsicle". If you feed your dog the broth past the 21 day mark, it will not harm them in any way. Brutus Broth does not need to be refrigerated until after it is opened. It is good in your pantry, cabinet or on your shelf until the sell by date.

Is this safe to use for cats too?
Answer by ChewyApr 02, 2021
This food topper is formulated for dogs.

How much salt per serving in milligrams?
Answer by ChewySep 12, 2021
This topper contains 50 milligrams of sodium per serving.

What is the recommended feeding frequency? Is it recommended for every meal with the appropriate serving size?
Answer by ChewyDec 18, 2021
It is recommended to incorporate the suggested amount into your dog's existing diet as needed to boost nutrients and flavor. Many pet owners use it to reconstitute dehydrated food. Serve approximately 1/4 cup of broth per 25 pounds of body weight per meal. Adjust the amount per pet's individual needs.

Approved by a picky husky

Our older boy has tummy issues that generally result in him throwing up if he has an empty stomach. The doc says we can give him pills or make breakfast more enticing. Allow me to shock you: giving him pills is a nightmare of epic proportions. Poor guy is very suspicious of peanut butter at this point in his life unless it's going in a kong. I was also worried about adding a ton of fat and calories to his food to make him want to eat it. A friend suggested this, and he LOVES it. Licks his own bowl clean, then goes and licks his sister's bowl clean once she's done. He's a much bigger fan of the chicken flavor than the beef, and I have no idea why. Especially as he likes their beef treats and the homemade treats I made using the beef broth. Little sister loves both of the flavors!

Moxie Approves!

I cook homemade dog food for my dog Moxie, and we order this product and actually make gravy out of the broth! He loves it poured over his homemade food once it’s thickened. I also use this broth to soak into some quinoa as it cooks if we use the grain. Gives the homemade food that extra flavor!

She loves it!

Very picky girl. I add this to her shredded chicken and she loves it. Licks the dish dry then goes after the chicken. Im always switching up her food due to her not wanting to eat the same thing over and over. And this goes with everything.

Yummy broth

My dog does not love his special kibble. I pour this on and he is very happy. I like that it has additives for hip & joint support. It makes meal time just a little bit better.

Best yet !!!

This is the best bone broth by far that I have tried. Dogs love it. I use it to rehydrate freeze dried raw. I first tried the powder in beef flavor. They loved that as well. I wish they did the chicken like that. I live in Hurricane prone area and evacuating is hard and space is limited. I love this product and so do my 4 legged children

Picky Eater Issues Solved

I've tried so many products to get my picky eater to get her food. None of them worked. I came up with a method where she now licks her bowl clean and wanting more. I boiled chicken breast and carrots grind it up in my Bullet. Then I grind up her kibble. She wouldn't eat it if I mixed the kibble in it. She would pick out the chicken but wouldn't eat the kibble. Then I thought if I mixed the broth left from the boiled she would eat it. She wouldn't eat that either. I did some research looking for the best bone broth for dogs. I read the reviews for Brutus Bone Broth and thought I would try it. I'm so glad I purchased this "Liquid Gold"!!! I put a layer of the ground up kibble on the bottom of her bowl then a layer of chicken on top of the kibble then I put a layer of carrots on top of the chicken. Then I pour the Brutus Bone Broth on top to top it off. I've been doing this for a couple of weeks now and she eats every bit of it. She keeps going back to her bowl licking it looking for more. I love this stuff but most importantly "My baby Cree loves this stuff"!! WHOO HOO!!!!
