I gave my dog this antler and a few minutes later, noticed blood all over the treat! I’m not one to ever leave a review but it was scary and I hope I can help someone else! (Picture taken 24 hrs after the incident so blood is dry)
I’ve bought the medium elk antlers a few time and was very satisfied however this last time they were very thin which meant not much marrow.Did not last as long as before.
I bought the medium split antler for a 70lb German Shepherd. Medium is a appropriate size for my dog. She is a tough chewer and the bones last her and keep her occupied for quite a bit of time. I don't let her have them unsupervised because as she breaks off pieces some of them can be sharp, but paying attention to the size of the bone and the pieces coming off i have never had any issues. She loves them and being able to get to the marrow easily entices her to chew on the bone.
To hard, dog won't chew she likes things a little softer.
These antlers disappeared within the day. They break down/crumble very quickly compared to a whole antler. My dogs loved them but not sure if it was ideal. I probably will not order again.
These are a new brand that we are trying and first impressions: I am pleased with the size and how evenly cut they are (not sliced wonky or awkwardly shaped). I am willing to pay a little more for higher quality and these seem like it. My beagle likes to take a few minutes each day to chew and I find it lasts quite a while, so it’s a good value (he not is a heavy chewer). Additionally, the picture shows a ziploc on the bag but the one I received did not have home - however, not a big deal just an observation.
I bought these twice and twice they all were splitting in a very short time. It’s very dangerous for any dog that chews on these with the splintering. I bought these and was given a pack of these antlers. The bag had one good “looking” antler and in the same bag the other was very thin. The other bag were both very thin pieces. I hoped that the thicker one would do better but after a short time of chewing, less than 30 minutes, I had to it away due to the splintering. I don’t know what causes the splintering, maybe the animals are not in good health? I won’t be buying these again. Very disappointed.
