Durability is an issue

I have had this collar for just 3 months and it is already faded as if it was years old. My cat is a rescue kitty so all she wants to do is lay around and sleep. She doesn't go outside, she doesn't take crazy adventures, she doesn't lay in the sun all day. Yet the collar still looks weathered and worn to the point the color has practically changed. This quite a pricy collar for it to only last 3 months.
