For a 60# dog, do you recommend a medium or large?

The Medium blanket measures 40 x 30 inches, weighs 3 pounds and is best suited for small to medium size dogs. The Large blanket measures 45 x 40 inches, weighs 5 pounds and is best suited for large size dogs and humans.

What is this blanket weighted with? Is it evenly distributed or does the weight shift within the blanket?

This blanket is weighted with glass sand. The blanket has square pockets with the pre-weighed glass sand sewn in, so the weight will shift within each small pocket, but not across the entire blanket.

Is this blanket attached to the bed the dog is laying on in the photo? I do not see that bed for sale on your website as a separate item. Thanks.

No, the BuddyRest Soothe Weighted Dog Blanket does not come with a bed. It is the blanket by itself.

My pups like to snuggle and climb on top of each other, if one of my dogs stepped on top of the blanket would it risk popping out the glass sand? They're 55 and 70 pounds.

There should be no issue if your dog steps on top of the blanket or if both dogs lay on top of it.

Bought this for Mom’s foster dog who suffers from anxiety. She shakes when a snow storm blows through. We left it shaped like a bed on the couch and she snuggled right into it. We’ll see how it helps when the rains come. It’s a really good quality blanket with a short, soft fleece on one side and a smooth micro fiber velveteen on the other. We bought the medium for a 40# beagle mix and it allows her to burrrow or be wrapped.

Make sure dog can get out from underneath it

Go lighter not heavier and keep a serious eye on dog when using it to make sure they don't get trapped. If you use one that is a huge issue as yours weighs 5- 30

Super Anxious Dog

Our poor Vizsla, Finnegan, is a nervous wreck. He's a rescue from an abusive situation and doesn't tolerate loud noises of any kind. Paces at the drop of a hat. Started using this blanket on the advice of our vet and it works like a champ. He mostly sleeps through the night now and is instantly soothed when thunderstorms roll thru. Super thick and well made. Glad it's made in the USA.

What a wonderful soothing blanket!

My 17 year old Puggle , Shiloh absolutely LOVES this blanket. At her age she has lost some of her senses and she can become anxious. I have one blanket for her bed

My 17 year old Puggle , Shiloh absolutely LOVES this blanket. At her age she has lost some of her senses and she can become anxious. I have one blanket for her bed and another on my bed. She sleeps in my bed and now she does not roam my bed. I spread the blanket on my bed and she lays on it and I cover her up with the remaining part of the blanket and she sleeps until morning. No kicking , no rolling around just a very comfy not anxious dog. It is very soothing for her.
