So for the price of this fountain, I would say it is not worth it. However, I can’t knock the product as a whole. My biggest issue is that the plastic tends to get

So for the price of this fountain, I would say it is not worth it. However, I can’t knock the product as a whole. My biggest issue is that the plastic tends to get a slimy build up on it, after about a week. So I do regular cleanings of the fountain, at least every 7 days. However, it isn’t quick since I fully dismantle the fountain and scrub all of the parts. Additionally since my city has really hard water, I’ve noticed some calcium buildup on the drinking plate which is like impossible to get off. I am going to switch to a stainless steel fountain for now and see if it goes better. My cat loves this fountain and has no issue drinking from it, but I personally don’t like having to rip the thing apart to clean it to my crazy, OCD standards.

Electrocuted

I put the product together as instructed. Plugged it in and I went to check the water flow by putting my hand under the flow of the water and I was electrocuted

I put the product together as instructed. Plugged it in and I went to check the water flow by putting my hand under the flow of the water and I was electrocuted. I’m glade it was my finger and not my dogs face. Chewy was fast to correct the issue with me but beware of this device. Do not purchase.

I never leave reviews but this really deserves one. My dog loves it, drinks SO much more water, so it totally did what I wanted it to do. Easy to refill, just pour more water right on the tray. It's attractive and the sound is pleasant. (Quieter when the tank is full.) I leave it plugged in so it runs constantly. If you run it on just a charge then it only comes on when the motion sensor is activated, but the charge didn’t seem to last that long. I’ve had it for 30 days so just cleaned it for the first time and changed the filter (flashing red light alerted me to filter change time). Had to read the instructions multiple times and images were hard to see, so there’s room for improvement there, but I got it done and reassembled successfully. Agree with others that it’s not so easy to clean some of the intricate parts. I have a tiny scrub brush that came with my hummingbird feeder that worked great, similar to a mascara wand. Company should include a cleaning tool with the fountain to make this easier. Or maybe try to design the parts with fewer books and crannies. But overall it’s a really thoughtful and attractive design and it’s been working perfectly with no trouble for a month. Super happy with it.

This item is consistently blinking red (some sort of warning light). I thought it was just because the water was low, filled it up...still red. It's not very intuitive, you can press the power button and it blinks but no idea what it does. You have to push and hold down to turn off but once you plug it in afterward, it turns on automatically. It gets dirty very quickly and everything is slimy. It's not easy to clean in between the two plastic top pieces. Just not a fan of this.

Bought this water fountain as a way to possibly save my floor from my cats splashing and dumping their water bowl out every day, I have 6 indoor only cats. Read through many reviews and different products and this one stood out as it was wireless and auto-sensing, so I thought why not give it a try. The cost was reasonable and if it worked it would save me from having to replace my flooring and if it didn't, I didn't waste a lot of money either and off I'd go to another idea. I've had it about a month and all but one cat loves drinking from it, and no more water being splashed onto the floor! I'm happy with the fountain so far and I would have given it 5 stars but the products instructions and the lack of the product's light not behaving in the manner they say it will to tell you what mode you're in or if the charging cycle is complete is less than optimal. It does charge and you can switch the modes, but you're flying blind so to speak. The light never indicates that the product has charged, it just keeps blinking so I charge it overnight and all is well. Everyone wants to know as to how long it lasts on a charge, 2 days is all I get, but I do have 6 cats so its running 50-75% of the time. If you have 1 cat and it's not in an area that you trigger it to come on, I'm sure it'll last 3-4 days. It's super quite unless the water is low, then it sounds like a gentle waterfall. Overall, I'm pleased and can overcome the faults it does have.

First, the instructions that came with this did not say how long the batteries would take to charge. And then, even after I left it plugged in for 48 hrs, unplugged it, the battery didn’t keep the charge. I had to plug the fountain in. I bought this liking the idea I could use the batteries, and it would sense my kitties around it. I thought the water wouldn’t evaporate as fast like my porcelain fountain. Also, the company needs to make clearer instructions and bigger pictures to go with them. It’s a fair fountain, 4/5 stars. Recharging batteries took longer than 5 to 10 hrs, and my batteries don’t stay charged long at all. I would rate 3 stars, but it does work plugged in and the water is clean
