I didn't try this for meals or as a topper as the size of the bag and my Australian Shepherd, the bag would not stretch very far for meals. The freeze-dried beef were the perfect bite size pieces to use for training though. This was my dog's first time trying raw food and he went crazy for it. This works as a great high value reward for training and have become our new training treats. He was practically drooling to get his paws on these! With the quality of the ingredients, I didn't feel so bad for him indulging on these. They're a great healthy treat!

This Bully Max Raw Dog Food Topper adds additional variety to our dog's diet. He really seems to love the taste of this beef, apple and sweet potato topper. To test if he liked the topper better than his regular food I put the topper and regular food on opposite sides of his bowl and he consistently ate the topper first. He also likes getting a piece of the topper as a treat. I like the fact that the main ingredient is GRASS FED BEEF.

Like with some dog food, it kind of sinks and not the most appetizing. However, is seems like the more the food smells the more that your pet loves it. That said, the beef topper, flavors the otherwise bland food, so, picky eaters will more likely eat there food. That said, my dog is a picky eater and doesn't always eat her food, so, the beef topper, 'tricks' her! So, it does it's job, plus it's high calorie, so, if your pup or dog needs to add some weight, this is the trick that you need.
