Great Concept, But Caused Regurgitation Issues

I really wanted to love this food for my high-energy Belgian Malinois. The calorie density (600 calories per cup) is exactly what working dogs like mine need, and the 31% protein/25% fat ratio looks great on paper. My dog absolutely loved the taste and was excited for every meal. Unfortunately, we had to discontinue use after a few weeks because he would regurgitate EVERY SINGLE meal. Despite trying different feeding methods (smaller portions, slower feeding, soaking the kibble), the regurgitation persisted. This was particularly frustrating because he genuinely enjoyed the food and it seemed perfect for his energy requirements but with the issues he actually LOST more weight.

High quality nutrition dense dog food

This food is packed with everything you need to make your dog’s skin and coat shine. The added protein and fat will make any malnourished dog immediately perk up

This food is packed with everything you need to make your dog’s skin and coat shine. The added protein and fat will make any malnourished dog immediately perk up. The omega‘s, flaxseed, biotin, and multiple other vitamins are wonderful for improving coat health. The added egg and fish in addition to the chicken make it a better rounded diet. For improved gut and immune health at least five different kinds of probiotics are added, in addition to brewers yeast. I followed the recommendations of slowly adding it to the food and he has really liked it. If you feed a whole bowl of this to your dog on day one, your dog will not eat it on day two because you changed the food too fast. You have to follow the manufacturers recommendations for transitioning, for any dog food change.

They are not a food driven breed and often their dry dog food will sit untouched all day until right before bed when they decide nothing better is being served. This was not the case with Bully Max Pro 2X High Calorie Chicken Dry Dog Food. Both of my pups immediately ate their breakfast. No leftovers! As a dog mom, I loved that it contains 31% protein with advanced nutrition for working pups. I also appreciated that Bully Max Pro 2X High Calorie Chicken Dry Dog Food supports improved digestion and higher energy levels in my pups and has no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Score!

Ingredients look good natural with chicken as the first ingredient. There is no listed food coloring and it is stated to meed aafco profiled for all life stages

Ingredients look good natural with chicken as the first ingredient. There is no listed food coloring and it is stated to meed aafco profiled for all life stages including large dog growth. It is a high fat food with lots of calories per cup, so it is best for more active dogs. The pieces are quite small at about 3/8" across. I used it as a food topper on top of my dogs usual food and my picky dog likes the taste.

When I received this food I mixed it half and half with my dogs other food, he absolutely loved it and for some reason the cats also picked this kind out of the bowl and ate it also, after a few days I noticed he started eating around the bully max and acted like he didn't like it?.. It's a good quality food and I'm hoping he starts to like it again!
