Terrible do not buy
Way too small in the front but way too huge in the back. Got this for my dog who was getting neutered so he didn't have to wear the cone all the time. The back leg holes were way too big so he could get to his incision through them and the front was so small and not supported that it didn't come up all the way on the front legs and slipped back down constantly. No spot to cut out a pee hole for males like most do and despite me trying to sew the back so the leg holes wouldn't be as gaping, he STILL got to his incision and licked his stitches. I should have gotten a different brand completely. I am incredibly upset with this
This Worked Wonders!
This worked wonders with my fluffy Akita who gets very hot! It has openings on the back so they aren’t fully covered. The recovery suits buttons on the back are very well made they do not unclip unexpectedly which very nice . Very well made. For extra protection-when my husband and I leave her home after her spay surgery, we put one of the washable reusable dog diapers from chewy . Com to put over her area
Unhappy
I need this product for an upcoming surgery on my elderly dog. The company directions say if you are borderline with measurements to go up to the next size. Nowhere is I see weights for each size so I did what they said and went up a size. Way way too big for my dog. Wasn’t until I got the product did it have the weights on the box. Even the weight far exceeded my dog. No way should I have been instructed to go up a size.
Nice Product
Nicely made Product. Bought it to keep my girl from licking herself raw while going thru a false pregnancy. Sizing is pretty accurate. Neck, chest and length fit great, although my dog being a German Shorthaired Pointer, she's slender in the torso, so the body is loose.....
Works for Cats
I had a queen who needed to be spayed, but was still nursing 12-week-old kittens. No one makes these for cats, so I tried the small dog vest for a 9-lb cat. Not a perfect fit, but do-able. A cats chest is much smaller than a dog, so the front legs went down past her elbows, and the neck was way too big. Had to secure it with a safety pin. She often managed to get her front feet out, BUT it kept her stomach covered, and she could use the litter box just fine.
Sizing chart issue
I measured carefully, but the recommended size was 2 sizes too large. In the end, I couldn't use this for my dog because it was too big. Looks well made, though.
Alot better than an e-collar
This was a much better alternative to an e-collar. We put it on our dog every night while she was recovering from being spayed. She didn't bother her incision and was comfortable in her crate. I wish that there was an easier way to do her front legs than having to put them through the 2 holes in the front.
works well but not for the bo-bo’s
Works well for protection of the incision site and overnight but not great for swollen nutter butters because of back snaps squishing everything so be careful with your boy dogs!
Very convenient
This is so much more convenient and easy to use than the stiff collar or even the inflatable collar.
Hallelujah
Rottweiler 90 pounds destroys everything. Three plastic veterinary cones destroyed in three days. I needed something to protect her incision. When I got her fixed less than a week later she ripped out herStaples because she’s a Belly crawler. I purchased the large and it’s too big but completely workable. I do have to unsnap Her back legs so she can go to the bathroom. But other than that it’s a blessing. I would definitely recommend this product absolutely love it.
