Instructions
Secure the collar snugly around the pet's neck but not tight enough to choke. Line up the fuzzy fastener strips to best match the size of the pet's neck. Slide your pet's regular collar through the elastic loops and secure the collar on your pet. To use the Easy Feed feature, pull apart fuzzy fastener wing panels and fold back and secure to small fuzzy fastener tabs located on either side. Return wings to original position when pet has finished eating and drinking.
To use the Calming Disk: Remove the disk from the package. Insert the disk into fabric pouch located on the collar. Disk is effective for up to 21 days of exposed use.
To Clean: Wipe collar with damp cloth, hang to dry.

Nice idea, but many aspects need improvement

The cat recovery collar is a nice idea was not fully realized. The packaging is a cute triangular box that certainly encourages the consumer to pick up and investigate, but the instructions, which are printed on the back of the package, are so microscopic that it bodes well to take a photo and enlarge to be able to read the words properly. Another surprise came when opening the package, as there are velcro-like discs holding the sides together, but these niceties seemed unnecessary and were very nearly ripped off of the box. The box itself was so form-fitting to the collar product that it was actually far too tight of a fit, making opening the package (despite the well intended disks) a real challenge to open. Two odd and unusual features are on this collar: a mind-boggling flap and unexplained loops. Upon being able to read the tiny instructions (because of a phone photo and enlargement), it turns out that the flap is for the calming disk that was enclosed with the product, and the loops are for attaching the product to the animal's collar. Truly, I think I personally required a calming disk more than my cat -- from trying to read the small print instructions and releasing the collar from its too-tight packaging. My cat is strictly indoors so has no need for a collar, so the loops were moot for my specific needs. Perhaps the biggest disappointment was the material of the "cone of shame" itself: a rather hard, cardboard-like material, instead of a soft, flexible substance that would likely make the calming disk moot. All things considered, the collar was something of a disappointment for all of the reasons described.

The collar that I used for my small cat was the Cat Caring Collar extra small for neck sizes 6-9 inches.There are three adjustments. I have a small cat and adjusted to the smallest setting she has not been able to get it off. There’s a little pocket on the outside of the collar for a calming tab. It’s easy to put the collar on. Easy to install the calming tab. The collar is much stiffer than I imagined it would be since the description says soft E collar for cats. Also, a little heavy for small cats. Not sure if the calming tab had any effect on my cat, since she just froze and wouldn’t move with the collar on. It’s royal blue in color.

I tried this out on my cow cat, Fiona, who was being treated for a urinary tract infection. Fionaand her brother cat smelled the scent disc (catnip primarily) through the wrapper and began chewing on the pouch. The collar has a neat velcro pocket for storing the calming scent, or youcan thread it onto the cat's regular collar to allow them to benefit from the calming scent. The collar fit my cat very well. For reference, she is 14 pounds. I do think this might be a little on the heavy side for a smaller cat. Anyhow, she did not enjoy the experience, but I don't think that is in the cards for any cat. The added scent disc is a nice idea and both cats loved it. This product beats the plastic cones provided by veterinary clinics by leaps and bounds.

The size was as expected, and it would easily fit on my two smaller cats (8 lbs and 11 lbs), but not my largest cat (12 lbs). Due to the nature of the product, it's designed to go on cats who have just had medical procedures, so it is very difficult to get on cats who are fully alert and suspicious of cones.

It's like a nylon cone reinforced with some sort of stiffening materials and attached via velcro dots. I had expected they might use mother cat pheromones for their calming effect rather than catnip oil. This might work for cats that regularly wear collars, but my indoor cats never go outside and don't wear collars. Pros: cone seems very well-constructed and somewhat adjustable due to the velcro closures.

The material is easy to wipe down and keep clean. I will say it may be a bit heavy for a young cat. It took my adult cat a few minutes to adjust to this around her neck and then it was perfect for her
Safe and comfortable Cat collar
I’ve used plenty cat collars before, from the clear plastic ones to the inflatable pillow collar. I think I like this one the most since it’s not as big as the inflatable

I think I like this one the most since it’s not as big as the inflatable ones but also more comfortable than the hard plastic ones. I mainly use it for my small dog who loves to chew his paws due to allergies. Comes in handy when it’s allergy season and I put itch relief creams on his paws.
