It is a great cooling vest. But because I have a corgi with a long body, it doesnt fit real well on him and it comes off pretty quickly.

My 11 year old Pomeranian, Teddy, was just diagnosed with an enlarged heart and other cardiac problems. I just moved from a Marine climate to a place that gets into the 90’s This vest is a miracle, so far. It’s only been 2 weeks, but the panting had decreased when he has it on. He’s not super into putting it on, but no psting snd he’s calmer with it on I agree with the “add two inches “ directive on mzny oc the reviews: although it is two inches longer on his back, it seems like the overall effect gives it more of the cooling effect.

My pup needs help keeping cool once we hit around mid-80's (F) because of her coat. I have a couple different cooling vests I've tried and this one seems to work very well. She's the type of dog that will very dutifully head home when she's getting hot or push the walk longer when she's feeling fine. With this vest on, we've tried 3 walks in the upper 80s/low 90s and she pushed it all three times (before I forced her to come in at 30 minutes just in case), and the vest was still plenty wet and her chest was cool, which all leads me to believe it works well for her! (We've also done several walks in the low 80's and been able to do our usual 45-60 minutes with no problems.) The only issue I've had is sizing, which isn't the vest's fault! My doggo is kind of a weird size/shape and we have trouble finding the right size for her in many brands. This vest is listed as sized by back length, so I ordered the 20 to fit her back measurement. It was very accurate and fit her back perfectly, however the chest was much too big on her so the cooling wasn't as effective. (Totally my fault; I should have figured this would happen with our sizing history.) I know this brand has pretty consistent sizing across their items so I went by other listings that had the chest measurement and ordered that way instead, going for a 16 the second time. That chest measurement was very accurate and fits her perfectly. It doesn't cover her full back but she doesn't need it in a cooling vest; it fits her chest and that lets the vest do its job. So if you're in doubt on sizing, check out the measurements for their other jackets/rain coats/etc. and use those measurements to help guide you. If you get a good fit, the vest is great! (And the 20 vest didn't go to waste! I knew Chewy would have helped since their CS is amazing but I gave it to a neighbor instead and they love it too, yay!)
