How do you measure paw height and width?

Would these boots protect from sharp rocks and sticks? Would they work for a dog that runs a lot on rough terrain?

The manufacturer has stated the following: "Obviously our mileage will vary here depending on how sharp these rocks or sticks are but the reinforced sole of our Suspender Boots should stand up to a decent bit of abuse over time, as long as they're sized correctly. The dogs nails are going to be a bigger factor in the potential wear and tear on the boot than any normal rock or stick they encounter on their adventures. If sized correctly, these boots should stand up rather well to rough terrain. The main 'wear points' are going to be the dogs nails in most cases(not the rocks and sticks), so again, if sized correctly these boots will hold up really well through rough terrain."

How do you get the boot on the dogs paw? Do they unzip?

The boots should slip over the paws and adjusted so the rubberized non-slip grips are underneath the base of the paw. They are secured by tightening the Velcro straps (near the paw) and the slider (near the thigh).

Are these sold as a 4 pack or by individual, single boot?

Michigan Negative Temp Lifesaver

My dog is really goofy about wearing stuff. You put on a jacket or life vest and he will freeze in place. While it took him a minute to adjust here, once he knew it prolonged his time out in the snow he was all in. They stay in place! I will say I measured a few times and landed on the long 5 but I think the 6 would have been the better bet. For reference my dog is 75 lbs and a bit tall but lean. He did take on a bit of snow eventually but he was in over a foot and a half of snow so, to be expected. I did learn to sort of turn them inside out to get them dry for the next go. If you had a boot dryer that would be money!

Too Bulky

I had high hopes for these boots. After searching for a solution to the problem of booties coming off the minute my dog walks outside, I came across these suspender

I had high hopes for these boots. After searching for a solution to the problem of booties coming off the minute my dog walks outside, I came across these suspender boots. My dog is long with short legs, her feet most resemble a Basset Hound. Her front paws are larger than the bag and sit at an odd angle. I say this because for a dog with normal feet, these might be great. But for her, they were hard to walk in and when she was able to - she tripped over the excess material. They never sat right and the front right boot popped off after a literal minute outside. However, I am forever grateful for Chewy's amazing customer service! They easily refunded the cost when I contacted them.

The straps/harness does not stay tight, and loosens up.

Straps/harness won't stay tight, causing the boot to come off. The plastic tightener circled in red in the photo keeps sliding back down/loosening up.
