What's the difference between short and long?

The difference is the leg length. Short is designed for dogs with shorter legs. Long refers to the long leg option. Both options use the same paw width sizing. It's best to measure the dog's paw and refer to the size chart to choose the correct size and leg length for the best fit.

The straps/harness does not stay tight, and loosens up.

Straps/harness won't stay tight, causing the boot to come off. The plastic tightener circled in red in the photo keeps sliding back down/loosening up.
