How does this go on?

The Thermal Layer Onesie can be put on like any other pull-over style hoodie or onesie. We would recommend the following steps: 1) Place your pet's head through the neck opening. 2) Take each of your pet's front paws and gently guide them through the front leg holes. 3) Pull the garment gently down along your pet's back. 4) Take each of your pet's back paws and guide them through the back leg holes. This style has no zipper or closure that need to be secured.

For the best fit, we recommend measuring your pet and matching your pet's measurements as closely as possible to the sizing chart. To measure your pet's body length, measure the base of the neck to the base of the tail. To measure chest girth, measure your pet's chest around the widest part. If your pet falls somewhere between two sizes, we advise ordering the larger of the two. For the complete sizing chart, please refer to the photo below or click the “Size” tab, next to the “Instructions” tab, just under the product photos.

This keeps my dog warm!!

I bought these to be both PJ's and long underwear for our rather thin coated mix breed. They fit nicely under her quilted jacket. As PJ's they ended up being too

I bought these to be both PJ's and long underwear for our rather thin coated mix breed. They fit nicely under her quilted jacket. As PJ's they ended up being too warm. Half way through the night she asked to have them taken off because she was HOT. Who would have thought that was possible. I've used this Onesie when leaving her in the car in the car for short periods in the cold. Having this onesie lets me keep her comfortable no matter what the weather is outside.

We call this our dogs track suit. Its perfect for use under her usual winter coat for added layers of warmth and coverage on most of her legs. Its also a great light weight base layer for cooler Temps, but when it's not quite cold enough for that winter coat. It's super easy on and off.

I originally bought her a size 18 She is a pit mix so she has a beefier chest Lower neck 18 inches chest 27 inches I have her back as 25 inches but I think I measured

Don't waste your money

I can't see what the point of this item is. It's extremely thin fabric. There's no way it would do anything to keep my dog warm. It's not water resistant or anything

I also ordered the Kurgo Stowe base layer which is definitely a bit thicker and I would have kept that too if the velcro actually worked. I'm just going to order a fleece onesie instead.

Sizing chart off

Pekoe is 23” chest, 17” back, 13” neck, 34lbs. Based on the size chart, we got Size 18. Way too small! Then we sized up to 20, and while that fit better, it was

Pekoe is 23” chest, 17” back, 13” neck, 34lbs. Based on the size chart, we got Size 18. Way too small! Then we sized up to 20, and while that fit better, it was still a little too tight length-wise for his proportions (his backs legs were restricted a bit). I think he could have worn it on walks, but for the amount of money it cost, I’d rather something that fits well. I had originally got this because I thought the full-body coverage would help him stay warmer on walks, but I think all you need is a good jacket (e.g. Ruffwear) to keep your dog’s core warm. This material is pretty thin anyhow.
