Will this replace a dog harness or do you have to have both? Can you hook a leash to it?

This cooling vest will not act as a harness. A leach cannot be connected to this vest, but can be passed through a hole in the back to attach to a harness.

This is a game changer on hot days! My dark haired boo gets so hot in the sun that he will lay down to rest in shady spots on walks. This vest keeps him on his feet

This is a game changer on hot days! My dark haired boo gets so hot in the sun that he will lay down to rest in shady spots on walks. This vest keeps him on his feet. I soak it and wring it (mostly) out before putting it on him, and it stays damp and cool for over an hour. We live in San Diego and our hottest months are yet to come, so I’m sure it won’t stay damp for as long as it does in July, but it will be way better than nothing. I followed the sizing guidelines and it fits perfectly.

I was doubtful, but now I wish I purchased this years ago!

This makes a HUGE difference! Of course, we keep our babes out of sun during the summer months down here in Mississippi. However, this has made our (still-hot-as-all-heck)

This makes a HUGE difference! Of course, we keep our babes out of sun during the summer months down here in Mississippi. However, this has made our (still-hot-as-all-heck) nighttime walks so much better!! 4 stars instead of 5 because it SMELLS. Since it retains water so well, it doesn’t dry for quite a while. Even after ringing out every drop of water and hanging it to dry. Washing it seems to be the only effective way to get rid of the wet towel smell. However, it smells again after the very next use. Completely worth it IMO.

Don’t add 2inches to your measurements.

Cookie likes the vest but it is too big for her. Her front legs will come out if the front leg openings. I measured her from the bottom of her neck to the base of

Cookie likes the vest but it is too big for her. Her front legs will come out if the front leg openings. I measured her from the bottom of her neck to the base of her tail. It said to add two inches so it wouldn’t be tight. It was big to start but after wet it, it is bigger. I’m going to have to see if I can take it in so it will fit. I wouldn’t follow the advice if you have a small dog. Her legs are short and they come out of the openings.

Works in Tucson Heat!

My dog loves chasing lizards in the sun and this vest really helps keep her cool in the Tucson heat. To really test it, I started her off without the vest. She showed

My dog loves chasing lizards in the sun and this vest really helps keep her cool in the Tucson heat. To really test it, I started her off without the vest. She showed signs of being too hot within a few minutes of running around (i.e. panting super hard), so we rested in the shade and drank water while I wet the vest and got it on her. My dog's breathing almost immediately calmed down and she was able to stay outside and have fun for much longer than without the vest. The vest was also still damp after a good 45 minutes in 90-degree heat. Size 16 fit my dog perfectly without any adjustments (chest girth ~22 inches).

Seems to work well. It dries out fast input desert heat but I just pour more water on it during our walk. The back of it tends to shift left or right. Would be nice

Love the color and good fit on Charlie
