Will this replace a dog harness or do you have to have both? Can you hook a leash to it?

This cooling vest will not act as a harness. A leach cannot be connected to this vest, but can be passed through a hole in the back to attach to a harness.

This cooling vest was great. We took a trip to Charlotte and it was on the 90's. This vest kept our Westie cool in the heat, it really worked. Also, we were careful to not stay out in the heat for long periods with him and kept him hydrated. I'm so glad we got this vest for him.

Works well fits poorly

Measured as instructed, but appears to fit a wider dog than what i have. Otherwise it works exactly as indicated, thinking about taking it in at the shoulders to fit better.

wonky sizing

So overall it’s an okay purchase. I like the concept. My dogs seem cool underneath the vest. I just have a problem with the sizing. It’s a bit off. My havanese/Cavalier mix fits in his perfectly. My German shepherd’s vest keeps twisting like it’s falling off her. So it’s only like partially on her most of the time. Wish they would adjust the fit better.

Great vest to keep the pooch cool

My black pitty gets awful hot walking in the sun, but not anymore with this vest! Stays wet & cool for ~45 min. If you have an interestingly shaped dog (like my thick boi), you'll likely need to size up at least 2 sizes.

Vest Review

This is the second one of these I have purchased. I got a size 12 for my ten pound pup. Keeps him cool and able to go for walks on warmer days.
