Two Cocker Spaniels in our household, one eats without question, the other hesitates to eat his morning meal, and when he does not eat Cocker #2 will delight in a second meal he does not need. With a spoonful of the Canidae Chunky Stew Topper mixed in his kibble it is not an issue, solving two problems for us. The main ingredient is beef along with peas and carrots you can see, and no preservatives! We can feel good adding this to our pets meals. We have also found giving pills in a spoonful of the topper is a no brainer for dispensing meds. We also want to try the other topper flavors. We recommend this topper for those with picky eaters or just an added treat.

My dogs really did like this product. It looked very mich like a.thick srew you would make on a cold winter night. It had lots.of meats and veggies and my 2 large hounds were very enthusiatic when they smelled it and ate it. However, my dogs.pretty much eat.everything with gusto. I think it would be especially useful for times when their appetite is not as good, or they are just picky eaters. That is the only reason i gave it 4 stars instead of five. Its a.good product to have on hand, but i wouldnt use it on a regular basis

I am the caretaker of my late Mom’s elderly, very picky, Yorkie mix. Since adding a healthy spoonful of Canidae Stew Toppers to her meals, she’s been very enthusiastic at mealtime. The topper smells meaty and savory, more like human food. Its gravy binder mixes well with the kibble, and offers plenty of visible chunks of meat and vegetables. She’s been a member of the clean bowl club every day for the past 2 weeks. She’s a tiny thing at just under 8 pounds, so I worried every time she turned down her food. I am thrilled I found a product Gypsy loves. Now all the other dogs are jealous.

Polaris is a picky boy, but he loved this meal topper! He immediately ate all of it and licked his plate clean. The food is cubes of meat pate with a thick gravy and bits of veggies added. It looks just like a complete meal, but it is designed as a topper so I just use a bit at a time. Since the cans are full sized, this means a single can can go a long way! It's a great way to spice up his regular diet with something different, and I like the variety of protein sources.
