Not very chewy

These are very crunchy and leave crumbs. If your looking for something to keep your dog occupied for awhile get a different item

More substantial than buffalo jerky chews

We tried these because the jerky chews we normally get were out of stock. They are both expensive but our choices are very limited due to our dog's many food allergies

We tried these because the jerky chews we normally get were out of stock. They are both expensive but our choices are very limited due to our dog's many food allergies. It's worth it to us that we can give him a safe, healthy treat he loves. These cost more than the jerky chews but they are also more substantial.

.....so these chews are one of my dogs favorites.

You might be wondering why only four stars then???? I have a 90 lb female Doberman and she can and does chew through one of these in 2-3 minutes. They are kinda

You might be wondering why only four stars then???? I have a 90 lb female Doberman and she can and does chew through one of these in 2-3 minutes. They are kinda pricey for only a few minutes chew time. If you have a less aggressive chewer they are most likely fantastic. Also little splinter like pieces are left behind sometimes stuck in the rug. Not great to walk on so perhaps an outside chew.

My dog devoured this! It lasted a full day of chewing on and off. And I can't describe how happy I was she stayed that busy with it. But it left splinters on the floor which were hard. And I found the next day that the splinters were not digestible but came out whole. So maybe it's ok for a larger dog but not so good for my 20 lbs shiba.

I give one each to my 3 dogs and they will sit and chew for quite awhile. The shepherd mix can chew through a bullystick quite easily and quickly - she gets through about 1/2 of this and a few hours later I find the beagle is still chewing away and has the rest of the other two dogs' treats under his belly waiting their turn to be consumed.

I question their safety

As dogs munch on them, they break into tiny, sharp splintered pieces -- I have concerns that these pieces will get lodged in their throats/intestines and cause damage
