Animals says delicious, mom says it’s sharp

My dog and my cats love it! It’s a treat for dogs but since it’s a single ingredient treat I also have my cats some small pieces. It looks like fish skin:) The

My dog and my cats love it! It’s a treat for dogs but since it’s a single ingredient treat I also have my cats some small pieces. It looks like fish skin:) The pieces are in random sizes. Some too large to give as a single treat. About 1.5x3 inches. Or as small as a quarter. Many of the pieces are hard to break into smaller portions. And sometimes it just falls apart. But it’s meant for dogs so I would say most of the pieces are dog size appropriate (but most too big for cats). I have a concern that the pieces are sharp and hard. Not sharp like I’d cut my skin but sharp like it would hurt if it poked the inside of my dog’s mouth or if she ‘woofed’ it down and it got stuck in her throat. Overall, I would give it 3.5 stars. Animals loved it, looks like it’s supposed to, it’s real single ingredient, but it’s probably too expensive for me when there are so many treat options. And then my concerns about the ‘sharpness.’

I have two large dogs and they both loved these crispy cod skins! I was worried they would be very smelly, but they had a slight fish smell which was not bothersome

I have two large dogs and they both loved these crispy cod skins! I was worried they would be very smelly, but they had a slight fish smell which was not bothersome at all. One of my dogs went absolutely bonkers for these treats and even recalled out of the yard while being distracted by a neighbor's dog! The treats are large, but they break apart easily. My dogs thought they were delicious, and I highly recommend them!

My Great Pyr mix really liked these! Kudos to those that designed the resealable bag! As you can imagine, these have quite the strong fish smell. If you properly seal the bag back up, there no smell! Sometimes the ziploc bags never go back together so you either have to have your house smell like death or double bag them!! These seem to have a light crunchy texture to them. I was able to break a small piece off for my smaller allergy prone dog. There are big enough pieces for my 100lb dog and smaller pieces for his treat toys too. Overall, we'll be getting these again and probably again! They were a big hit!

Meets the taste of some dogs

I chose this treat for my dog, because I thought this would be a great change from some of the other treats we buy, because they are natural fish skins. However,

I chose this treat for my dog, because I thought this would be a great change from some of the other treats we buy, because they are natural fish skins. However, comically, Bunz just let the cod skins roll off his tongue and onto the floor. Every time it was the same. He did not like them. The crunchy texture, dark color, and fish taste did not work for him. I decided to pass them to my sister's Australian Shepherd, and she was a fan. She was very happy to eat them. So they will appeal to some dogs.

My first reaction when I opened the Cod skin treats was how unappetizing they looked! However, my 2 large large hound dogs clearly did not share my view, and they gobbled up the treat with gusto I especially like that the cod skin is a single ingredient treat with no additives. One of my dogs has a more sensitive stomach, and he loves these and has no issues afterwards. Also, the treats are very hard and crunchy. As a result, my dogs take more time to fully eat the treat instead of quickly inhaling the food as they are prone to do! I definitely recommend these as a high protein treat--even if they are ugly!

Crispy cod skins are a crunchy and nutritious treat. 4 oz bag has many cod skin squares that my dog really enjoys. She likes the crunch. They are stinky however that is how you would expect a one ingredient, cod skin treat to smell. During the dry winter months, happy to give this treat to help her skin not itch.
