This gravel is not designed for freshwater tanks.

can you mix this in with gravel

Rinse with clean, fresh water, then place into the empty aquarium. Slowly add seawater then add rock and décor, start all pumps and filters. Florida Crushed Coral can be cleaned with a gravel vac as needed.

As for aquatic turtle tanks, how is this for Diamondback Terrapins? Wanting to use this in addition to sand for the terrapin to trim his beak with.
