About This Item

  • Premium-quality, natural, dramatic color and texture marine aquarium gravel adds fun and beauty to your finned or scaly friends’ environment.
  • Looks great in both indoor tanks and outdoor ponds; suitable for most under-gravel filtration and fish systems and anchoring for plants.
  • Extremely porous, so it’s great for the filtering process, plus it’s a great accent for finer sands wherever elevated pH values are needed.
  • Non-toxic, 100% crushed Florida coral will help keep your water clean, plus will help stabilize the water’s chemistry and is safe for all saltwater fish.
  • Grain size approximately 2.5-5.5 mm; can also be used to beautify potted plants, vases and more—for best results, use 1-2 pounds per gallon.

can you mix this in with gravel

Rinse with clean, fresh water, then place into the empty aquarium. Slowly add seawater then add rock and décor, start all pumps and filters. Florida Crushed Coral can be cleaned with a gravel vac as needed.

How many bags would I need for a 125 gallon tank? And can this be used with shrink, starfish and puffers?
Answer by ChewyMar 09, 2020
This substrate is purposely engineered and free of impurities such as ash, metals, pesticides, and silica; which allows you to create a safe and beautiful environment for your fish and invertebrates. It is recommended to use 1-2 pounds per gallon for best results.

This is Aragonite, not crushed coral.

It raises PH to about 7.8. Crushed coral keeps the PH at around 7.2.

We have a new 70 gal salt tank. We're thinking we will definitely need one more bag, but this is good stuff.
