This is a 40 pound assorted box. Rocks typically run in the 2-6 pound range but may be as small as a little over a pound to 8 pounds. There are approximately 12 to 18 rocks per box.

Surprisingly great looking rock, even better cust service

I placed this order on Friday, and received it the next day. However it was mislabeled and I only received 1 single rock at 3 pounds (supposed to come in 40 pound

I placed this order on Friday, and received it the next day. However it was mislabeled and I only received 1 single rock at 3 pounds (supposed to come in 40 pound package with 12-18 rocks). Contacted customer service immediately and he was able to confirm that it was incorrectly shipped right away and placed the order again to correct it. I received the CORRECT amount of rock the following Tuesday (including 4th of July between orders), so overall great customer service and turnaround. Onto the actual ROCK review. I’ve been doing reef tanks for almost 15 years. Everyone seems to be using Marco rocks now, but this was half the price of Marco and looked similar so after some reviews I bit the bullet and went this route. There is almost no difference between this and Marco rock. This may be a TINY bit more dense, but it still has very good texture and porosity as well as all kinds of holes and shapes. I have not weighed each piece but the smaller pieces are around 3 pounds and the bigger ones look more than double those sizes so I’d guess in the 6-8 pound range for the larger ones. I plan to use the eMarco 400 mortar to create the aqua scape. I will update this review with photos once that is complete. But I would very much compare this to Marco rock if you’re looking up pictures of it.

Good Cheap Rock

This rock worked great for my saltwater tank. Some pieces didn't have a lot of holes in it as others did but it worked great. It had a nice range of rock sizes

Great buy 40 pounds

First of all more people would buy this dry base rock if the description explained the weight (40pounds) This was a great buy The rock has lots of different sizes

First of all more people would buy this dry base rock if the description explained the weight (40pounds) This was a great buy The rock has lots of different sizes large to small which is awesome for myself because now I don’t have to break up much, maybe a few just depends on how I decide to do my set up in the aquarium Although it is quite dusty all this will wash away when it gets rinsed and people you should always expect that you’re going to have to do this with dry base rock or any rocks you buy to wash off anything before placement in your aquarium setup Just got this today and will update my purchase soon when I get the tank together Thanks Chewy and Caribsea
