One "portion" is barely less than 1/8 cup of food. I measured several times to make sure.

There's a set "portion" amount that I measured to be barely less than 1/8 cup of food. You can set a feeding schedule to feed as many or few portions at a time. For example, you can set breakfast to 7 portions if needed. Or lunch to be 3 portions. Etc.

Love this feeder!

This was my first purchase on Chewy, so I was skeptical but I was proven wrong! This feeder took me a maximum of 10 minutes to set up and I love being able to see

Reliable feeder

I wanted to upgrade my automatic feeders once I moved and also because the other one finally gave up the ghost. I “splurged” on this one but I feel about 2 ish months

I wanted to upgrade my automatic feeders once I moved and also because the other one finally gave up the ghost. I “splurged” on this one but I feel about 2 ish months in that it was a worthwhile purchase. I really like the camera so I can check in, as well as the app confirming that my cat was fed! I had some scares with the prior feeder not dispensing food and so tbis was a relief! I also like that I can dispense food from the app if I forgot to schedule a feed. So far it's money well spent!

Works but not how I thought it would

Overall, it does do what it is intended to do, feed my pet. The motion detection doesn't record video, just a picture, but that's not really a big deal. A big reason

Overall, it does do what it is intended to do, feed my pet. The motion detection doesn't record video, just a picture, but that's not really a big deal. A big reason I got this was because its supposed to run on batteries if the power were to go out and it does not do that. As soon as it loses its power source it goes offline and will not work to feed manually or with the schedule. Very disappointed for the price I paid for it. Wanted to use it to feed while we are on a trip but can't trust that it won't lose power and stop feeding my cat.

Pros: The bowl is wide enough to not cause whisker fatigue, plus its stainless steel for easy cleaning. The portion amount starts at "1" and you can add as many as you want per feeding session. Each "portion" measured out to just a hair under 1/4 cup of small pebble cat food. Which was perfect for my cat since he's a little overweight so it allows me to still feed him multiple times a day, but in small amounts. The camera works really well, it has night vision as well. It also has a speaker feature but I don't use that. It connects to wifi easily, and has a battery bank to stay on incase of a power outage. It also sends alerts to your phone to say the meal was successfully dispensed, or to say the food is low/out. You can set schedules, and adjust the feed amount per individual feeding times as well. So if you just wanted to give a small snack mid day but give a bigger dinner meal, you can easily do that. You can also dispense one time portions remotely via your phone. I also found the app really easy to navigate. Cons: I still gave 5 stars despite the cons because some of them are due to my own lack of reading, some just pale in comparison to how good of a feeder this is. It does REQUIRE batteries to power on. So just be more prepared than I was and order batteries ahead of time. My second "gripe" is there is no record option. Which is kind of a bummer, since the only way I can ensure my cat is eating if I'm away, is to watch the camera in live time during feeding sessions. I did reach out to customer service to see if I was just missing the feature, but never got a reply. You also cant move the camera. For some reason, seeing the photos of the product, I thought it would be a moving camera. But its not. Its fixed in a downward position. Which is both a pro and a con. If youre worried about privacy, its not showing anything but the food bowl. Con if you wanted to utilize the camera to look around the room for your pet. Again, this is just possibly from my own lack of reading the description. 10/10 would recommend if recording and moving camera is not what you want as a feature. The small portions make it perfect for cats too!

Love the design, it’s perfect in every room of the house. The app is so easy to install and to use. The camera is amazing, very high definition and night view works perfectly. I love the possibility to see my cat, listen to him and speak with him. The mic works perfectly too! My cat got used to this feeder immediately and he runs as soon as he hears dry food falling into the bowl. It’s very easy to set up portions and control how much he’s eating. Highly recommended!

It's very easy to set up and the video quality is great. You can also take pics and save them and I think you can also record and save the recordings. I haven't used the feeding programming yet but I enjoy feeding my kitty remotely "manually" whenever I receive a notification on my phone indicating that she is close to the camera and looking for food. I haven't had the product for long but so far so good!

My cat needs to be fed multiple times throughout the day or he gets pretty fussy. I was having a hard time keeping up with his feeding schedule and this feeder saved me. No issues, camera works great, able to control via the app and set customized schedules. Really enjoying it so far!
