My vet suggested this after my gelding had a huge abscess on his neck close to his withers. It definitely helped keep the flys out since it was in an area impossible to bandage. It’s really hot here and felt bad putting it on but flys would have been worse. My only complaint is that it slides up and twists around a lot, you probably wouldn’t have this issue if you had the whole sheet that’s available to add on. He even managed to get it off once!
It’s very breathable and was a great purchase, anything for my handsome horse.
He’s around 1400# and we got a XL.
