  • My Cats Like It

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

I have two of these. My cats like them but sometimes are startled by the tipping that occurs if they get off of it or onto it from either end, and sometimes during scratching it also tips to the side they are scratching on if they are not on the bed at the time. They don't seem scared about it, but they do get agitated when they are mid-scratching and have to readjust their position to continue scratching. Other than that they really do like these beds. They do have other styles that are more favored than this style. It is a cute bed to look at though.

  • It's okay I guess

My cats are dumb af apparently. My friends all talk up a storm about the thing. So I get one and nothing, they stare at it like it's a new thing to be ignored after day. So I put catnip on it, they just rubbed against it getting high. I tried showing them how it's done, now I'm the idiot being stared at. I even tried to get them to sheath it by rubbing their paws on it, no luck. This is by no means a bad review, every cat is different.

  • Catit bench scratcher

This is a really nice scratcher . I was not expecting it to be so sturdy at the price it is . Granted my cat is smaller but she sure enjoys this bench. Didnt take her anytime to start using it . We plant to get another when she tears this one up .

  • For kittens

My 7 week old kittens love playing on this but it really needs to be weighted. It makes a ton of noise when they lean over the edge and tip it down. My older larger cats can barely get on it, but they still enjoy scratching on it.

  • Ehh.. There are better scratchers out there.

Would I recommend this item? Sure. Would I buy this item again? Probably not. Like the headline says, there are better ones out there. This scratcher has a cool design and looks really nice but it's not very well thought out. Every time my cat jumps off of this scratcher from the 'heavy' ends, it'll slant over then fall back to it original position making a loud THUD noise. I'm always startled by the unexpected sound of it falling back. Especially at 4AM when I'm sleeping and I'm awaken by it. It's a fairly cheap price scratcher, but there are cheaper ones that works even better. And for some reason, this scratcher always happens to be out of stock on Chewy, it's not really worth the wait or Would I recommend this item? Sure. Would I buy this item again? Probably not. However, I can see many cats enjoying a nap on this thing so I would recommend you give it a try but heed my warning of the evil thud noises at 4AM! … more

  • Terrible very poorly made

All of the cardboard flips up. This is TERRIBLE. Ive got similar scratchers from the dollar store that lasted longer than this. Ive only had it a few weeks and it needs to be thrown away

  • Even our Biggest Cat Loves It!

    By on

This was an instant success in our 4 cat household! Our smallest (6lb.) cat likes to scratch the raised sides while standing on it. Our biggest (21lb. Maine Coon mix) can’t walk by without stopping to have a go, scratching on it! It is also a popular resting spot for them, a lounge!

  • Great noises!

You know your cats (I have 6) are having fun using this by the sound of nails going to town! At first they ignored it for about 6 days. But when they found it, look out.

My cat is 14 1/2 lbs and isn't too big for this great scratch pad. Mostly she scratches it, but often follows up by lying on it for a while as if exhausted, or just because she knows she looks cute perhaps. It's more fun-looking than most cardboard scratchers, too, with its circus-style red sidings. I just subtracted a star because the red decoration on one side was already coming off even before I took the item out of the box. The red side decorations should be attached better. Naturally the first thing my cat did with her new scratcher was to demolish the decoration that was loose, before I could glue it back on.
