How about a large cat? Also how many cats?

This litter box is suitable for cats 3 lbs 8 oz to 22 lbs, and is multi-cat friendly.

Does the clumping littler have to be clay? Can I use other clumping litter like corn-based?

This litter box is compatible with most clumping litters. Due to the limited size of the filter grid, we do not recommend using pure tofu or long strips of tofu cat litter with this litter box. These types of litter may not be effectively filtered by our system. Litters that are strictly absorbent, non-clumping, loose-clumping, newspaper-based, or wood-based pellets are not compatible with CATLINK litter boxes, as they interfere with the sifting process.

Love it! Worth every penny! Will probably buy a second and third one. Really helps with smell. Took us a minute to figure out how to put it in manual mode because

Love it! Worth every penny! Will probably buy a second and third one. Really helps with smell. Took us a minute to figure out how to put it in manual mode because our kitties are so little. Once we figured it out and in manual mode, AMAZING!!! I also bought a warcat automated litter box but definitely prefer this one. Worth the extra money, in my opinion.

Easy Setup & Maintenance

Why did I not get one of these sooner? The auto scoop function works great and it’s so much easier to keep up with litter changes and waste disposal!

This litter box is really effective at moving the excrement to the waste bag. I tried a flat, rake-style automatic litter box and it mostly just moved the waste

This litter box is really effective at moving the excrement to the waste bag. I tried a flat, rake-style automatic litter box and it mostly just moved the waste to the end of the box. I wasn't sure my cat would use this litter box because he's never used a covered box and he's a big cat. He didn't go inside for the first few days, but I left his regular litter box beside the Catlink and didn't clean it. Eventually my cat chose to use the clean litter in the Catlink rather than the dirty old box. After another day I removed the old litter box and he's been using the Catlink regularly.

We had to return this litter box. It was good for about the 1st month. Then things went straight down hill. Waste was not going directly into the waste bag and

We had to return this litter box. It was good for about the 1st month. Then things went straight down hill. Waste was not going directly into the waste bag and we had waste (both urine and feces) coming back into the box constantly with each cycle. I highly recommend not choosing an automatic litter box that dumps waste from overhead.
