My cats love this scratching post! We made it flat so the can lay on it as well as scratch! Here is a pic when it was set up
Sturdy construction, my kitties like the sisal material for scratching...probably a little short but Sunflowers are my favorite! Both Mr. Barley and Marzen enjoy the perch advantage
I really love this product but I wish they would sell a replacement post for it.
This was a nice, easy build and my cat loves it. She likes the Bee on the side and it came with a small seperate cat toy! It’s very cute and vibrant as well.
I bought this less than 6months ago and it broke already. Not very happy that I spent all that money for something cheaply made.
I read the reviews before I bought this. A few negative ones but I ordered it anyway. Couldn't resist! It's so cute but more importantly, my cats do love it! I got the bigger size. They took to it right away. I kept the flower flat because they kept jumping on it while the flower was slanted and they would fall off and wouldn't scratch the flower. They scratched the post right away though and now they both love sitting and laying on it. It is very sturdy. As much as they jump on it and scratch the post it has not tipped at all. One of my cats is about 13+ pounds and she jumps up on it, lays on the top of it and scratches the post with no problem of it tipping over. I'm very happy with it and so are my kitties.
I loved it. It is so cute and great scratching material.
My cat is a rescue from outside. She's used to tearing at the bark on unmoving trees, so scratching mats, carboard, and single posts that swayed or toppled with her scratching weren't enough. While this post is still fairly lightweight, I bought a 10 pound dumbbell (she's a 9-pound cat) to rest on the base and she's absolutely adored it since it came out of the box. The post and flower head allow for a mix-up of vertical and horizontal scratching, and it also just looks like a nice piece of decoration. I've had it for a few months now with daily use, and it still looks brand new. The rope around the base hasn't worn down at all, and the flowerhead is in great shape. Unfortunately the angled piece for the head doesn't seem particularly practical, even if it has a good aesthetic. But leaving the flower head flat on top allows for it to be a well-loved perch.
My cat and I both loved this scratcher! He (at 13 lbs) was able to sit on top of it. That being said, it only lasted us 6 months.
Well, I truly thought that my 2 cats would enjoy this product. They tried it for all of 5 minutes. Lily got up on top of the sunflower for a total of 2 minutes and hasn't been back up there since. Bandit has used the scratcher once. I guess I am going to have to invest in another scratching pad for the floor. They truly seem to enjoy that! It's a cute product!
