Feeding Instructions
Apply Cavalor PodoSens twice daily to the coronet and/or the sole of the hoof. Repeat until symptoms have disappeared. Tip: Sensitive hooves caused by metabolic disorders require a “whole-horse” approach. Cavalor PodoSens is recommended in combination with Cavalor LaminAid, along with adjustments to feed. Cavalor LaminAid is a supplement that balances the body’s metabolic and hormonal processes in several ways and supports healthy gut flora.

Worth a try

I decided to try this when my horse was having some sensitivity after a trim. She has a club foot, so that adds to it. The product smelled good, was fluid, and absorbed well into the hoof. I used as directed with no problems. Her sensitivity lessened, but still somewhat present. Again, she’s not typical when it comes to her feet. Her hooves did look healthier and moisturized after consistent use.
Smells great, not sure how well it works

We have been using this on my mare Talulah, who has always had sensitive feet. It is difficult to ascertain whether it is doing anything in the month we have been using it. It does seem a bit labor intensive as one needs to apply it twice a day, and we do not usually have that luxury of time. Talulah does not seem to be showing any difference in her sensitivity. She has thrown a shoe twice in the last 2 weeks, which she never does, so I am not sure if this is related or not, but it seems curious.I am going to see if it has any effect on one of my other horses, who is barefoot and his hoof wall is cracking/chipping and see if aids with this. It does smell good, and is easy to apply.

I used this product on my 24-year old quarter horse qelding who has had hoof problems since he was born. He is our "pasture ornament" and goes barefoot. Currently, he has several cracks and is tender for a few days after the farrier trims him. It takes sometimes almost a year before new hoof completely grows out so I am unable at this time to determine how much this product is helping his hooves. I like the can and how the lid with the brush fits. The product has a strong smell. The first couple of times that I opened the can to apply the product my horse backed away from me, which is unusual, and I think it was because of the smell. I like the consistency of the oil. It goes on well and does not run like I was afraid it might. The hooves have a nice satiny shine after a few applications but like I said I can't tell at this time if it is helping the hooves and if so, how much.

I was excited to try this product because my horse often gets dry hooves in the summer. However, this summer we have had loads of rain and the usual chips and cracks haven't been happening. That being said, I used the oil on the coronet band and frog a few times so far. I think it needs to be used for quite a while to see any real effects but the moisturizing aspect is good. The smell is a bit medicinal and I think I prefer more herbal scents. If I am able, I may come back and revise the review after I have been able to use it for several months.

Recommend product! I used it on my 28 yr old mare and 18 year gelding every night when they get their grain. It applies nice on their hooves easy to clean off if you get on yourself. My horses hooves have less cracks and farrier said they are looking great. I am so glad I got it right before the heat hit here and they had this on their hooves while stomping at the flies.

I requested this hoof treatment for my insulin resistant Gaited mule, hoping that I could find a way to make her walking movements easier. This treatment is a very fine consistency, easy to apply due to the design of the container and the brush, and is usable on the outside of the hoof and the base of the foot also, which I do. I will continue to watch her hooves closely as five days of the liquid being on the farm has not quite been enough time to give a full-fledged thumbs up. It does, show all indications that it will ease her movements. I would recommend it and will continue to use it consistently, for the best & expected results.

It is easy to apply with the brush included and seems to keep the hoof well moisturized. On the label it says to use 2x a day but I only use it 1x and still notice a difference. I will definitely keep using.
