My dog is a 72 lb Staffordshire terrier. What size harness should I get for him?

For the best fit, we recommend measuring your pet's chest girth and comparing with the size chart. To measure chest girth, measure your pet's chest around the widest part. If your pet falls somewhere between two sizes, we advise ordering the larger of the two. Please refer to the size chart below:

Is this Chai's Choice jacket sized fairly accurately?

To find the best fit we recommend measuring your pet and comparing the measurements to the sizing chart that is available in the “Size” tab, next to the “Description” tab, just under the product. If they fall between two sizes, we always recommend to choose the bigger size just to be safe. I have included a picture of the sizing chart below for your review.

Does the underside of this vest cover the chest and belly?

This harness will not cover the pets abdomen however, it will cover their chest.

To get the most accurate size harness for your pet, measure the girth of their chest, around the widest part of your dog's torso right behind the front legs, with a cloth tape measure. Make sure there's enough room for about two fingers between the harness and your pet's chest for comfort.

Got an X-S for my 10 lbs wire-haired dachshund, and bought it based on the no-escape design. She backs out of all other harnesses. This one works perfectly and the double zipper is great for when she wears a sweater underneath the harness. I love the snaps at the neck to help secure it while it gets zipped up. The only thing I would like to suggest is that it gets made in a winter coat version with fleece and warm fabric. I would buy again and highly recommend.

I would have liked a heavier-duty fabric for durability and rough-housing, but this is fine for calm walks around the neighborhood. Fine for moderate temperatures

I would have liked a heavier-duty fabric for durability and rough-housing, but this is fine for calm walks around the neighborhood. Fine for moderate temperatures in the snow and rain, but questionable for extreme cold. A collar would protect the neck area more than this does.

We love: that the leash clips directly to the vest, as opposed to having to use a separate harness under the vest; the vest zips on top, as opposed to some that zip or velcro on the bottom; It expands to make it more custom fit.... use first or second zipper, and 1st or second snap at the neck.
