Are the D rings where we attach the leash made of plastic or metal?

The D-rings are made of zinc-alloy.

Do the adjustable straps stay in place? On my current harness, it does not and the straps loosen very quickly into our walks.

Once harness straps has been adjusted to desired fit, straps shouldn't get loose during daily activities.

By what means does this harness create a 'NO PULL' function? When leash is attached that far to the rear, how does one keep the dog at 'heel' position? When leash is attached at the chest position, it merely twists the harness around the dog.

The No-Pull description on a dog harness merely describes the harness dispersing the dogs weight evenly around the body which discourages the dog from pulling much more than a normal dog collar.

Is this harness suitable to go swimming in?

When I pulled this one out of the box, I was sure it was going to be too big but it fits really well and he likes it. Chewy went above and beyond and refunded the last one I got because it didn't fit him. So glad we finally found a winner!

Fabric/structure could be a little light for a very strong dog. Neck measurement is good, but chest/body is a little tight more with no room to expand so the proportion seems a little off. My 50lb Airedale is not overweight. Didn’t love that it took two weeks to arrive - I am used to next day from Chewy. That was not obvious until I had placed the order.

Durable

I've been using this harness with my large goldendoodle for the past 3 years and it's still going strong. Only reason I'm replacing it is because she finally filled

I've been using this harness with my large goldendoodle for the past 3 years and it's still going strong. Only reason I'm replacing it is because she finally filled in to her "dog" weight and the current size is a little tight. I'll be purchasing the same brand because the dimensions fit her doodle body shape pretty well. The old one only has some wear and tear from normal use. No fraying at the leash connections and she pulls a decent amount.

Well made but sizing is weird

I really like the style and quality of this harness, but as other reviewers have noted, there are issues with the size. I bought the size based on chest measurement

I really like the style and quality of this harness, but as other reviewers have noted, there are issues with the size. I bought the size based on chest measurement as instructed, but when I fitted it to my standard poodle, I had to let the chest strap all the way out, while tightening the neck strap as small as it would go, and it was still too big. I think this harness is designed for breeds with necks that are thick like their bodies, not for deep chested breeds with small necks.

I bought this for my 5 month old puppy. It fits nicely and will be able to adjust as he grows. He looks very cute in it :) There is now way he can slip out of this harness even though I bought it a little big so he can grow into it. It is comfortable, bright and reflective so he is easily seen. I love that it has 2 places to attach the leash. One on the back if your pup doesn't pull, and one on the front in case he does.
