Gradually transition your pet to any new food over the course of 7-14 days to help avoid the digestive upset that abrupt changes in diet can cause. If your pet tends to be on the sensitive side, it may be best to take a little extra time.
Start by feeding your pet a mix of 25% new food and 75% old food for the first few days.
Then, increase the amount of new food to about 50% and feed that half-and-half mix for a few days.
Proceed to feeding 75% new food/25% old food for the next few days.
Complete the transition by feeding just the new food on its own.

The product comes in a nice packed box and is then sealed by a releasable bag. You can look at the product in the bag and tell it is high quality. You can see the ingredients and the pellets look natural. You can also smell the difference. I put about half a cup in a bowl for my old boy to give it a try. It wasn’t sure at first but then he started sniffing and then he grabbed a few bites and started slow. He ate those up and then gobbled down the rest of the bowl. He then went back to the empty bowl and started licking it. He seemed to really enjoy the product. It’s a good size to start off with and test and see if it is something you want to keep purchasing. I would recommend this product.

The box is nice and simple enough with clear explanations of how you can use the product such as feeding as a whole meal, as a meal topper, hydrating with water or bone broth, or as a treat. I will also note that the bag did have quite a few crumbs in it but it doesn’t bother me as I can still use the product how I intend to which is as a meal topper and treats. I like the added collagen, the high animal protein, and that it’s grain free. My two younger dogs lapped it right up which was expected as they’re not very picky at all but my older girl is the true testament as she’s super picky about everything but she absolutely loved it! Even my cats started trying to eat it.
Air-Dried Food is a Unique Food Option

The bright box design caught my eye and the extent of the information on the box is impressive. The company's story gives you confidence that they care about pets and know how to produce a quality, USA-made food. There are feeding guidelines and an explanation of a balanced diet for dogs. I have the duck formula, and it even tells me that the duck was sourced in Indiana. The box explains their proprietary NutralockTM process that gives the food higher kcals per kilo. It says you can feed it dry or with water, as a treat or a topper or as a meal. My dog prefers dry. I would have liked it if the box addressed why I want to feed my dog air-dried food in particular. I also wish the information specifically assured users that the food was cooked at 140-180 degrees to ensure there is no issue with salmonella or listeria. This has for a long time been a concern with air-dried foods, so it needs to be addressed clearly. My sheltie sniffed the kibbles I put down, circled it once, and then ate like he was starving! He loves it. He did drink quite more water after his meal of this food than usual, so perhaps being air-dried it has less moisture than his regular kibble. It's good for him to take in plenty of water, so I don't think that's a problem. As the bag contents got lower, I see a lot of powder in the bottom as air-dried kibble breaks up more easily. I can use that as a topper for other meals, but it's worth noting. I definitely think this is worth trying. The kibble has slightly sharper edges than my dog's uniformly oval regular food, but he didn't object to it. I know he loves the flavor.
Good food topper and training treats

Our initial reason for getting this was to use it as a topper. I have three picky and sensitive bellies to take care of and so we like to have a few options to swap up flavors. My two boys are apparently not a huge fan of duck but the occasional sprinkle of this stuff all crumbled up on top still satisfies them. My girl on the other hand would eat this straight out of the box. We are currently using them as treats for training as well. I can’t speak for how long this box would last for feeding as a main diet but for what we’re using it for, it’s perfect to last us a while. And as I mentioned we have some sensitive bellies in my house. After a month of use we have seen no gastric upset related to the use of this food. That’s an A+ in my book!

We've been using this air dried food mostly as a topper on all of our dogs regular food, and they all love it. It has also worked very well for us as a treat when training. We have Anatolian/Pyrs, a Mini Aussie, and a Pug at all stages of life. It smells incredibly fresh, they can hardly wait for the okay to begin eating. I love that the ingredients are human grade & nutritious with no fillers or processed by-products.
This pup loves duck!
Things we love: the resealable bag! I was definitely concerned how I was going to keep this product fresh, and was pleasantly surprised they had a resealable bag!
Things we love: the resealable bag! I was definitely concerned how I was going to keep this product fresh, and was pleasantly surprised they had a resealable bag! Plus my pup didn't turn her nose up to this food at all. Things we're 🤷🏼♀️ about: while the pieces are a great size, a lot of pieces broke apart pretty easily. Might consider adding the 'dust' to water to create a slurry with the leftover pieces.

My two dogs enjoy this food. We use a small amount as topper to the food we home make for them. They usually come up and smell the box when I take it out.

Poor quality control
The bag was full of smashed pellets of food and mostly powder versus kibble. Disappointed to say the least. When you go to pour out the food you see how crumbled

Probably good for some dogs not so for mine
It isnt horrible. It did give my dog really really bad gas. I ended up needing to buy probiotics to finally get their system to balance out. I have a lab mix
