These become very stringy, like long thin strands of hair. Our dog ate just enough pieces like this to cause a blockage and end up in the ER. The emergency vet
These become very stringy, like long thin strands of hair. Our dog ate just enough pieces like this to cause a blockage and end up in the ER. The emergency vet said this is a very common problem with bully sticks that she wishes more people were aware off. Our puppy spent the night in the er having the blockage manually removed which avoided surgery but was still very painful. When we got home we threw out the remaining 2 packages of these and will never use bulky sticks again.
