My dog is 65lbs, a bully mix. She doesn’t allow me to trim her nails so I decided to use these chews to relieve her stress levels when I try. I followed the dosage and gave her 4 chews, and tried to trim her nails 10 mins later. She did seem a little more relaxed than usual but I had higher expectations. I wasn’t able to trim too much but again, she is VERY sensitive about her nails. The remainder of the day left her in a sleepy, relaxed state. To the point where she had zero interest in her toys and just wanted to lay down. This may be what someone is looking for, so in that respect this product works. However, for a particular stressful situation like a nail trim, it didn’t work for us. She’s a picky eater, suspicious of new treats. This, she happily ate.

We tried the anxiety and stress relief chews. Joaquin loved the peanut butter flavor and readily accepted the new treat. He is anxious on walks and we were hoping to see an improvement. We didn’t see a change. Next, I gave it to him when a storm started, maybe a slight improvement but he also developed an upset stomach. I could have been stress or a coincidence, but I am thinking these probably are not a good fit for him. For a dog with mild anxiety, they are probably worth a try. My dog loved the flavor and may have experienced a slight improvement; just not the right match for him.

My dogs enjoyed the taste of these treats, and they were a nice small nice size for easy consumption. At first, I thought the calming effect wasn’t noticeable in my dogs’ behavior, but after 2-3 hours, they did seem noticeably less anxious than normal. I would say they were effective but slower-release than I expected, so you’d need to plan accordingly and give it to your dogs early enough ahead of fireworks, a roadtrip, etc. for them to become effective.

About 30 minutes after she gets one, I can definitely see a calming effect. They’ve been especially helpful for her separation anxiety. I’m not sure how effective they’d be for extremely hyper dogs, but for her, they’ve made a noticeable difference.
