What is the Cleansing Agent used in this shampoo?

What exactly does it smell like? Strong flowers, fruit, soap clean, perfume? Is there something you can compare the smell to?

The CHI Gentle 2 in1 Dog Shampoo & Conditioner uses a proprietary signature CHI fragrance. It's a neutral and unisex fragrance.

We like to condition separately, I find the the 2 in 1's aren't enough. Is it recommended to follow up with the conditioner or can it cause irritation?

To use, wet the coat thoroughly with warm water. Apply shampoo from back of ears to the tail, carefully avoiding eyes. Lather and gently massage into coat and skin. Rinse well. Repeat if necessary.

Is this shampoo soap free?

When I use this shampoo/conditioner combo, it cleans well and makes their fur soft. Smells good but not too strong. One of my dogs is always rolling in poop in the woods and it gets her clean and smelling less poopy. Chihuahua approved.
