I see that this is made in the USA but are the ingredients sourced in the USA?

The manufacturer will source their high-quality ingredients within the United States depending on availability. However, certain ingredients will need to be outsourced (i,e: Lamb, Venison, Duck, Rabbit, Vitamin Packs, etc.) to ensure top quality and freshness while meeting a reasonable price point for pet parents. The Lamb is sourced in New Zealand, the Salmon Oil is sourced in Chile and the Duck is sourced in France.

This is my first time trying Chicken Soup for the Soul brand. Overall, I'm pleased with the food. Its a decent price with decent ingredients. It's not filled with corn/wheat/soy...which is important to me. I like to sprinkle food in the yard to give the dogs an enrichment "sniffari", and they happily snooted around the yard munching on the food. Even the neighbor's dog joined us and enjoyed it. My only criticism is that I didn't realize the kibble is on the larger side

I did some research before receiving this bag of food, and it met all the criteria I like to have in what I feed my dogs. It has a 4 start rating on a research page, which is really good. I prefer to feed my dogs grain free, as I had one dog with allergies, and she lived to be 17 eating grain free dog food. This isn’t the brand I normally feed my dogs, but it compares pretty close to the same, so I decided to give it a try. I have three little Shih-Tzu’s, and I’m careful in what I feed them. That being said, this met my guidelines perfectly. I tried a few bites with them first, to see if they would like, and they did. Then I mixed it in their regular kibble, at feeding time, and they are everything. They haven't had any issues at all adding it to their food, as with some others we’ve tried. Their stools stayed nice and firm, and all is well. As I stated before, it’s not the brand I usually use, but it is one I would consider feeding them, since they did so well on it, and loved it.

There were no GI or skin issues with this new food. The food appears to contain good ingredients- without by products and additives. This would be a great consideration if looking for a healthy dry dog food.
