Unsecured container

This was 1 of the worst waterers I've ever used especially for the higher price. You have to turn it upside down to fill it up to 3 gallons. Then you have to flip

This was 1 of the worst waterers I've ever used especially for the higher price. You have to turn it upside down to fill it up to 3 gallons. Then you have to flip the heavy container right side up. Well, the 1st time I did this thinking it was closed tight enough it wasn't. The top twisted completely off and all the water went into the pen. You have to be so careful turning it back up that the top doesn't twist off on you. Doing this can be very hard when its heavy with all that water. The top should lock in place securing it to the bottom when you flip it over, especially when the weather is so cold. Any little mis-movement causes the top to twist off. The cord is far to short. You have to hang your electrical supply lower just to plug it up and if you pull on it just a little it will tip over. I don't recommend this waterer even if it was free due to the trouble it caused. There are better heated waterers for either the same price or lower.

Electrolytes and probiotics together. Works well. I bought this to give to my chickens when they got cryptosporidium as the vet recommended to give them extra probiotics
