Chilly Dog Boyfriend Dog & Cat Sweater

If someone would've asked me a year ago if I could ever get excited about dog sweaters, I would've laughed out loud. But now I'm a dog-mom and finding warm clothes for my Monkey so she can survive these NE winters has become a life goal. These sweaters by Chilly Dog are so beautifully made, I will never by a cheap, novelty acrylic sweater again. And because Monkey is part Boxer, she has a big chest and tiny waist - and she can be tough to fit. If it's too big, she eats it, and if it's too tight, she fusses. These worked out great because they are so well made and are natural wool, so they move with her w/o being constricting. This is a great sweater that should be hand washed because it is wool. The label states that the sweater should be hand washed. The general size chart for this item is not as helpful as the individual size chart that is posted when you click the size of the sweater you are interested in. I am a knitter. I found the measurements of the sweaters I received to be accurate when compared to the size chart. I ordered an XS which fits my 7.5 pound Rat Terrier Mix, but is too long for my 6.5 pound Chihuahua. I am going to try the XXS for the Chihuahua, but I am skeptical that it will fit as he is outside of the suggested weight range of 2-5 pounds. I ordered the largest size possible for my 70 pound, very fit dog and it was too small. This sweater is so nice however, I will save it for a dog it does fit.

I have another Chilly Dog sweater for my dog (the red and white one-fits perfectly) and this was fits loosely. Like an actual Boyfriend sweater. I'm cackling. My dog looks so cute in her sweater. I love these Chilly Dog wool sweaters and feel comfortable going into winter (seeing as how I live in Austin, Texas and the next snow storm will leave us without electricity for another week).

Perfect length with extra room, thick for Midwest snowy weather for my golden doodle! He’s 4 months and 24lb considering I didn’t measure, it fits great! ordered L. I will reorder same sweater as he grows! First chewy order ever and we love Chewy now!

Purchased for an elderly mini Rat Terrier, small size, she weighs exactly10 lbs. It fits her well, is roomy enough in case it shrinks, though I didn't see any mention of shrinkage in other reviews. I'd rather have it a little big like it is, than to tight. I liked that the back is long and in her case actually longer than her tail base so it folds up, or I pull it down over her curled up tail. I appreciated this sort of info in other reviews so am specifically sharing our fit experience. Super cute, well made, comfy for her to wear and sleep in with a chilly house. We have never owned a sweater before. He was born in Texas and we moved to Upper Michigan this year. It’s cold here in the winter. My handsome blue-nosed pit doesn’t mind his sweater at all. He’s 70 pounds and has a broad chest so we got the XL. Fits perfectly. As you can see in the pic, he looks dapper.

Sarge received his new winter sweater a few days ago. He always loves to get dressed up. This sweater is a real winter sweater. Heavy wool and almost the perfect size for my American Bull dog 95 lb. It is a little long along the back as he is bigger around than long. I just turned it under and now Perfect.

This sweater is very thick and cozy, not to mention adorable. It was the first one we bought our dog, so the size wasn't right, but Chewy is great and gave us credit so we can get the smaller size.

This is literally the cutest sweater ever. My dog has never received more compliments. He practically jumps into it, because he knows how much more attention he will get when wearing it. 10/10.
