Great choice
I got this for my birbs bc the room I have them in doesn't get direct sunlight. They actually navigate towards it. It doesn't offer warmth, but the effects of the sun is what they like, I think. Do not buy the reg light bulb size of this, it sucks. This bulb is the way to go for sure!
UVA & B Seem Effective
My bird seemed logy once the days started getting darker earlier, but he now has a lot of energy after a few weeks of using this for the few hours that he is in his cage. Like a lot of energy! I like whatever color temp this is- it seems like sunny daylight, as opposed to other full spectrum light bulbs (for people) I've bought that emit a harsh bluish light. My only beef is the price.
Best light ever
I have used different bird lights over the years. This light is by far the best one I have ever had. Before the birds would all try for the best spot under the light. Now they all spread out and can enjoy the fact this lights their whole huge cage.
Full spectrum bulb
I plan on ordering another bulb, my birds room is very brite. Bulb does not emit alot of heat which is good.
