It can definitely work as long as the fixture can accommodate an R40-type bulb.

What is this R40 vs R30 mean? We have a conure and cockatiel and need full spectrum light for the birds in the winter.

The R40 is 1310 lumens and measures 6.25 inches in length and 4.5 inches in diameter. The R30 is 1275 lumens and measures 4.75 inches in length and 3.5 inches in diameter.

Does this emit UVB?
