For a 1,000 lbs. horse or mule at rest or light work, feed 12–15 lbs. of TrailBlazer Packer Pellet daily, split into two feedings. For pack animals working 7–10 miles per day with elevation changes, caloric needs can rise to 15,000–20,000 calories per day. In these cases, feed up to 18–22 lbs. per day based on condition, forage availability, and intensity of work. TrailBlazer’s dense ¾-inch pellet is ideal for ground feeding in the backcountry with minimal waste. Always provide access to clean water and free-choice forage when possible.

To avoid digestive upset, gradually transition your horse to TrailBlazer Packer Pellet over a 7-day period. Start by replacing 25% of the current feed with EquiMega on Days 1–2, then increase to 50% on Days 3–4, 75% on Days 5–6, and 100% EquiMega Complete by Day 7.
